A local hangout to pick up southern style sandwiches paired with house made sides. Pretty quick service when they are not slammed. Limited seating inside and out. Take out service tends to be easier to manage. Not terribly expensive for the volume of food you get. Great service.

great deli food with a southern twist (if you want it) and friendly folks to serve it. A delightful spot to grab lunch.

Reliably delicious, friendly people, centrally-located . . . and the biscuits are the BEST. So is the tuna salad. And the sides that change with the season. Indoor and outdoor seating. And they have treats for dogs, too. Love this LOCAL gem owned by great people who you will likely meet as they call your name when your order is... More

OK, it is what it is, it doesn't look like much but the food and sandwiches are great. Superb pastrami, egg salad and pimento cheese. Reputation for breakfast very good. Service VERY slow but worth the wait. Small cramped venue but staff is nice and food worth the wait. Not cheap eats but decent value considering the quality. We are... More

Spent the day in Carrboro and had a nice lunch at Neal's Deli. Folks were very friendly and the bread was great, Seemed a little pricey for the meal but overall, a nice place to eat.

Lunchtime is super busy. Call your order in ahead of time if you can. At first, I thought it was a little pricey for a deli. But when my food arrived, the portion was hefty and so, so tasty.

Walked over for breakfast by myself from the hotel (that serves breakfast but um, hotel buffet). The staff was very welcoming and the food was excellent. You can tell that they know a lot of their customers by name, always a good sign. I had a country ham biscuit with some relish on the side and it was the perfect... More

I have usually been a breakfast guest at Neal's Deli. I recently had the opportunity to try lunch there. I really like innovative hot dogs and I've had the chance to try a variety around the US. I must say that Neal's "Chileano Completo" is the best combination I have ever eaten. I returned yesterday for another and I was... More

Been there several times in the last few weeks and have had a different sandwich every time I got. Ingredients always piled high, as fresh as it gets and well presented. Been in CH 20 years and this is as close as it gets to a great NY delicatessen. Now I take sandwiches to go for picnics and while traveling.... More
