Me and my family stopped here to eat not knowing what we where stopping at. The food took a long time to get to us and there where people drinking at the bar. The employees were nice and the food was good but not a location to take kids and wife.

We stopped in The Dive for lunch and were greeted by a friendly waitress who was attentive and always smiled. Their homemade pimento cheese was really good. It was a grilled cheese sandwich with pimento mixed with maybe sharp cheddar?..and huge! Delicious! Yes there were a few flies around, but it's summer, so what do you expect? There were flies... Usually go to Shuckn Shack next door but packed today so tried out The Dive, glad we did. Waited on immediately, split the spicy crab balls for app good and spicy. Both of us had the fish taco w mahi mahi, one of the best fish tacos we've ever had. More a wrap, loaded with fish, guacamole, cheese (but not... More

Restaurant was hot with flies. My shrimp poboy sandwich was not fixed the way I ordered. Service was slow. However grandson ordered wings and enjoyed them. Daughter had Philly cheesesteak which was ok. Think it is a better bar.

We have been to the Dive on several occasions now. They have excellent homemade fries, seasonal corn chowder, and the best burgers we have found on the island. Sit at the bar or in a booth/table during the day. Late evenings, its much more crowded and attracts a younger fun crowd. Staff is friendly and the food is quite good.

While visiting Carolina Beach, it was difficult finding my 1.5 year old something to eat. A lot of places didn't offer a good kids menu. The Dive is one of the few places that did. And their grilled cheese was really good and I was impressed by portion size of the meal. My husband and I got fish tacos from... More

Waiters saw us come in and had more time talking to others than coming to our table. We waited about ten minutes and never got served. Went next door to the Shucking Shack and they were busy, but we were immediately acknowledged. Go there instead.

I've eaten here 3 times in 2 visits to Carolina Beach. I love it! The atmosphere is great, the food is just what I'm in the mood for after a long day at the beach, and the beer selection is excellent!

I discovered this hole in the wall several years ago, back in my wild and single days. A bar full of beach bums, tourists, great food (good prices) and drink specials every day. I highly recommend the fish tacos, and sometimes you can choose from a few different fresh catches. The tuna is best. I went grouper once, ehhh...not my... More

Forget about the chains (like the one right next door). Come to The Dive for a real beach hangout. Kitschy decor will keep you amused while you wait for your food. Great burgers and tacos in a very relaxed atmosphere.
