The food is fine. I’m not sure what is happening here, but we came two times over a week. Both times the kitchen took FOREVER! There are six tables in this place. Two waitresses. At least two cooks. And some random dude working. We got here at 8:20 AM. Still sitting here at 9:10 waiting. We also realize that there are still two tables ahead of us who have not gotten their food. This place is fine given the selections in the area, but give yourself an hour if you don’t have to wait for a seat. Give yourself more time if you have to wait on a seat.

Nice experience!

We got to Granny's about 9 am. The place was about 1/2 full. the service was a little slow, but the waitress was friendly and welcomed us to the diner. The breakfast was served hot and was good to eat. As we sat there, the place filled up and got real noisy. The prices weren't unreasonable and all in all it wasn't a bad experience.

Another local place just north of Kure Beach. Easy parking and good food for the money. We all had plate lunches of various items and it was great. Good portions and decent prices.

covid. they were masks and take phone orders. food is great and a bargain. they say it is ready in 10 minutes, it is. picky coffee drinker...it hot, HOT. it has taste, it is not the best but good. we ate a few times here last week ..first time..will be back

Quaint breakfast joint. The best fried green tomatoes I’ve ever had. Biscuits are fluffy, moist, and extremely tasty. Friendly servers. Cash discount.

Great breakfast at a reasonable price. Small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect place for a hearty breakfast to start your day. Ate here several times during our vacation.

YES, EAT HERE!

If you hate eating at "chain" restaurants in and like good, homemede food and the service to match -- go here! Weather was record-breaking warm in Jan for Presidents Holiday weekend, so we made our maiden trip to the Coast. Hardly anyone there and we had arisen late and wanted breakfast LATE in the day. Found out not much was open at 2 p.m. or whatever it was. Drove past here and checked on Yelp! -- which indicated it was good. Came in about half an hour before closing, no one else in place. It's tiny -- a 3 or 4 tables outside and maybe 6 inside? We were only ones there. Woman who welcomed us couldn't have been nicer and more fun. 4 people came in about 15 minutes later -- so really close to closing -- and got a similarly gracious welcome. TONS of food -- I ordered pancakes, sausage, 2 eggs, coffee -- and a side of okra. I wasn't expecting pancakes that were 8" (more?) in diameter (eegads, why do I always expect the 4"ones I make?) Anyway, I went to pay and thought "oh, hmmm...I didn't think it was going to be this much oh well..." We have just moved here from (expensive!) San Francisco. I paid the bill and luckily, was taking some time getting sorted out in the car because the owner came running out -- just mortified -- and said she'd accidentally given us the bill for the table of 4. She couldn't have been nicer or sorrier -- honestly, even the "wrong" bill wasn't outrageous. Very much appreciated the honesty. Note: She did tell us that it gets very busy in the warmer summer months, so be prepared!

Arrived in town late and no groceries in house. Had coffee at home then went here for a late breakfast. It was fast and satisfying. Would go again.

Good food

Went because of location and tripadvisor rating. We were the only customers there. Inside and outside dining available. We got the big breakfast platter, all good, great pancakes. Also got veggie quesadilla, was good,liked the crunch of the veggies, not cooked all the way down.

Rocking out the take out
