Good local place for breakfast or lunch. We had breakfast and it was all good. Specialty item is a sweet potato biscuit. Order at the counter kind of place and fix your own drink, except for coffee which they get for you, so not full...service, but very good overall.More

Oh my! You must try a sweet potato biscuit! Or perhaps the Hangover which is a huge flaky biscuit, egg, sausage, bacon, hoop cheese (local) and gravy that is better than your grandmas! Amazing warm and gracious people own and run the place.

The egg and cheese on the sweet potato biscuit is pretty tasty. Great flavor and always made to order so it's fresh. Only thing not so great about it is it falls to peices when you're eating it. It didn't do that in the past....Still taste good.More

Great Bake Shoppe open for breakfast and lunch until 2PM. The Sweet potato rolls are great and you can get any item on them. They have paved the parking lot since the last time I was there and added another room for seating. Everything is...cooked fresh and made in front of you.More

Grandma's kitchen disguised as a bake shoppe!!! Belcross Bake Shoppe has been there since we moved to the area in 2003 and have never disappointed our family... You see, our kids knew about the bakery long before my wife and did... It's just down the...road from the Country high school so high schoolers have been enjoying Belcross for quite some time... They open at 6 am and close after lunch so you when you do get there, expect there to be plenty folks waiting on some of the best country cooking in the country and probably surrounding counties. Just walk in and smell the yeast rolls, breakfast items, cinnamon rolls... Their prices are just as country as the food, in other words, more food for less cost. They have superb baked goods as you can imagine, sticky cinnamon, sticky pecan, blueberry biscuits, of course, regular biscuits, fresh off the griddle eggs, pork products, including ham slices, sausage patties and bacon all cooked to perfection. The sandwich menu is not all fancy with stuff put together to just wonder what you ordered but what they really are what you or your momma would have made if you had the time... Speaking of time, you're not waiting around very long, they have a staff that is a well oiled machine... Show up, sit a spell or take it with you, you will not be disappointed...More

The pastries here are off the chart.....Made from scratch and so, so, delicious especially the sweet cinnamon (brown glaze) with pecans....The homemade hash brown casserole is a must for anyone having breakfast or lunch. You will not be disappointed unless your taste buds have no...taste.....Anyway, come in and give this beautiful diner by the side of the road a try. I promise you that you will be back.....More

OH MY GOSH if I lived in the area, I would be at Belcross every single day. The service is beyond amazing and the food...there are no words. The melt-in-your mouth sweet potato biscuits are what dreams are made of. The cinnamon buns and cheesy...grits are literally the best I've ever tasted. Homemade bread, bakery treats, soup from scratch...I don't know which one to choose to rave about!More

I have lived in the area about a year and finally had a chance to stop in and give them a try. The baked goods here are excellent. Their sweet potato biscuits are moist but not doughy, and their cinnamon and pecan rolls are huge...and wonderful. They make breakfast sandwiches with your choice of biscuits, breads, or croissants, and let you customize other ingredients as well. They are usually very busy but the wait is not bad. They have a small dining area but takeout is brisk. They are frequented by many "regulars" and I have become one as well! I have not tried their lunch menu but they have several sandwiches that they will make fresh, and it is on my to-try list. They also have cakes which I have yet to try. This is a very casual, family-owned business that is a great value, and offers enough variety to make most people happy and satisfied. They are closed Sundays and Mondays.More
