We were vacationing in Myrtle Beach and my in-laws wanted to take us here. About 30 mins drive, it was totally worth it. The waitress was very kind and made sure to check in often on us. We took the special of the day and it was absolutely delicious fried shrimp, fish, cole slaw and bake potato!! The hush puppies... More

We stopped here recently while visiting Calabash and were extremely disappointed. I had an injury, and had to enter the restaurant in a wheelchair. When they showed us to our table they didn't even move a chair so we could put the wheelchair at the table-- we had to do it ourselves. The food was really poor quality, greasy and... More

While vacationing in Myrtle Beach we took a drive with friends to Calabash. Looking for a place for lunch we found Captain Nance's Seafood. A tiny little place by the waterway, with a very simple, plain atmosphere. We wanted to eat light and ended up ordering the special of the day. I believe it was $7.25 and you got your... More

The oysters in my deluxe platter were inedible. They were massively overcooked and tasted like rubber. The shrimp were small, quite surprising when the shrimp boats are catching large ones. The best was the scallops. My wife's chicken strips were dry and tasteless. Service was very good. There is just one large plain uninteresting open room with some outdoor seating. We... More

Went there for lunch and the food was better and fresher than any seafood restaurant that I have visited in Myrtle Beach. Service was good also.

I had dinner with my family here on 10/29, 6 people total. The server Lillie was great but the food was overcooked and overpriced. I had the broiled salmon and for $13.95 I was robbed! The salmon was overcooked and dry. Another person had the oyster sandwich and said the oysters were over fried, they were tough and grizzly and... More

My wife and I have been going here for years when we visit Myrtle Beach. Last year I thought it was an anomaly that the service was poor. This year, the woman who waited on us was not friendly nor did she check to see if we needed anything. What does it costs to smile and be nice. She wasn't... More

Typical calabash-style seafood...fresh, crispy, slightly greasy, and delicious! Good service, average prices. Great stock of butter mints in all the best colors!!

My family usually eats here at least a couple times of year. The service is usually on point but this time it wasn't. Our glasses stayed empty and it took a minute to get the check. The food was as it always is great. The lunch special can't be beat. We will be back, just hoping to get a better... More

Calabash is known for fresh, fried seafood, and this is one of the places on the river - there are about five of them at the same location. On the day we visited, this was the least crowded. I don't know about the quality of the other places, but the seafood was not only fried, but in a very thick... More
