Booked the hotel, delighted to discover such a wonderful restaurant. We enjoyed many delicious meals during our Thanksgiving break, including a delicious Thanksgiving buffet, and also musical accompaniment on some evenings. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Our group (2 couples) had dinner here on a Saturday night. We were glad we had called several weeks in advance for a reservation as the restaurant was filled to capacity (although I assume this capacity has been reduced by COVID-19 restrictions, as there was...a lot of space between tables). We arrived for our 7:45pm reservation and were seated in the covered outdoor dining area. Our server, Melissa, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and gave some great tips about the food. We had appetizers, and all four of us ordered seafood entrees. The Shrimp, Scallops and Grits as well as the Fresh Catch (Red Drum) were excellent. We also received a bread tray with the appetizers. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. The outdoor seating area is covered and has at least one fire pit, although this wasn’t lit since the night was so comfortable. The decor and ambience were perfect. I would expect that this restaurant is one of the more upscale places in Hatteras, but were felt comfortable in “neat-but casual” attire. I do feel obligated to comment on several of the reviews written just prior to mine which discuss a “Horrible” experience. We had a front-row seat to this entire incident, and I would hate for these reviews to tarnish the reputation of this restaurant. The customers writing these highly critical reviews were treated with nothing but respect by the staff, and eventually the owner, of the restaurant. The customers repeatedly made unreasonable demands, including that patrons be “evicted” from a table they were seated at. These customers eventually resorted to demanding “compensation” to prevent them from writing bad reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp (which they obviously did). I would encourage anyone interested in eating at Cafe Pimlico to disregard those reviews. They were written by a group with an agenda and do not accurately depict the events of the evening. Bottom line - if you are looking for more of a “fine-dining” experience on the Outer Banks, add this place to your list. Make a reservation, and get ready to enjoy a great meal at a great restaurant.More

Last night we had reservations at 6:15 and were promptly seated. Some other customers came at 6:15, whom had reservations at 8:15. They were in our area having drinks and were constantly looking at our table, which we assumed they were waiting for our table....The Manager tried several times to accommodate them and had a table for them by 8:15,but one of the group said that would not be acceptable. Our 6 saw the whole scene and we feel the staff did everything possible to satisfy these customers. Our time here for 2 nights and several meals have been very pleasant and delicious. We would recommend this place for everyone.More

It's been such a pleasure to have your group! The universal support of our dining guests last evening meant a great deal to us. Thank you for your graciousness.

We enjoyed meals all weekend from Cafe Pamlico. Smoke free and they do their best to operate in a Covid environment. Tables are well spaced and they stagger the reservation times. Breakfast served hot and delicious to our room at the Inn. Generous and flavorful...portions packet in a picnic basket for us for lunch and the best dinners I have had in a long time. We enjoyed fried green tomato and bisque for appetizers and the Tuna, Drum, shrimp/scallop grits, and the Curry dish entrees. Fall flavored cocktails were fabulous. By the time we were given dessert options, we were stuffed but still enjoyed the apple cobbler cheesecake and warm chocolate torte Friday night and the berry & mascarpone cake and pumpkin creme brûlée Saturday night. Staff and owner are all local. Make a reservation and come celebrate your next event here!More

This is located at The Inn on Pamlico Sound. It's not dressy. It has a full bar. Guests at IPS get breakfast included with a $5 service charge pp. The food is the best we found on Hatteras.

Eating here was a nice change of pace during our weekend in the Outer Banks. We dressed up a little bit for dinner here and enjoyed a view of the sunset over the sound with dinner. We tried the crab bisque soup and a pasta...dish with scallops, as well as the filet mignon. Everything was great! Our server was wonderful too and we appreciated that they participated in breast cancer awareness month with proceeds from the pink cocktail of the month going to the cause.More

My mom and I decided to brave eating out and I'm glad we did. I called to make reservations and a helpful staff person assisted in making sure we could come for an early dinner. We came prepared to eat outside and were immediately seated...on the patio. The service here is snappy and the wait staff was kind and welcoming. They even accommodated my mom's need to have nothing spicy by making a special version of one of the appetizers for her. Whomever is in the kitchen can really make an excellent cream sauce and cook seafood perfectly. Our orders we correct and well timed. The menu is well curated and the wine list has good choices. I found the prices to be reasonable and in line with the quality of the food and service at this establishment. What made our meal even more enjoyable was the live music - a gentleman sang and played guitar. He had a good voice and played not the same old same old covers. I highly recommend this restaurant for many reasons, our experience there was magical.More

My husband and I eat dinner here the night we arrived to Buxton. We were lodging at the Inn and did not feel like driving anywhere else. A little worried that we were underdressed, we were assured we were fine, as there was a mix...of attire people wear. The restaurant was following proper CDC guidelines and we felt very comfortable eating there. Very clean. My husband ordered the tuna and I ordered the fresh catch which was Drum. Our food was so good! And the portion of fish we received was massive! We could have easily split one plate. The price for our dinner was definitely worth the amount of food we received. Staff was friendly and they had a great wine selection. We also eat breakfast here both days and wow, it was so delicious! Again, lots of food and the Belgian waffle was perfectly made. We also enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Again, the staff was incredibly friendly. I highly recommend and would eat there again!More

We do not have lobster as a regular menu item. We do have it on special from time to time, but you would have to call a week or so before your visit to know for sure.
