My husband surprised me w a reservation here during our recent visit to the island. I was excited as my sister was married here a few years ago and I had wonderful memories of the food. I am vegan and the menu and website specify that there are always vegan options, just ask your server. When he called he was... More

We are glad this reviewer's sister had a wonderful wedding and so positively reviewed our food and service. Contrary to the statements of this reviewer, there was no false advertising or poorly trained server. We cater to vegetarians, vegans, and special dietary needs, and our servers are trained on our practices as a small boutique restaurant, using fresh local produce... More

My husband and I ate here last night for our anniversary. We started on the deck with gorgeous views of the sound. Our server, Dallas, was excellent- he made perfect recommendations and was attentive but not overbearing. We had fried calamari and caprese salad for starters- both were perfect. The calamari was so tender and light, and the pesto on... More

Absolutely the best in the Banks for fine dining, scenic views and atmosphere. Culinary herbs right from their garden!

This was our second visit for dinner at Cafe Pamlico this year. The service is great, the food is over-the-top. We had 11 for dinner and the staff was not only able to accommodate us, they had a private room with a large enough table for us all. Our server, whose name has escaped me--was so nice and really seemed... More

Tried many of their breakfast entrees and the hash was the best. Pancakes would have been good, but no maple syrup and no fresh berries. The scrambled eggs were boring, they have an entire garden, through some of those herbs in there. French toast was drowned in berry compote. But the hash was very good.

It was a breezy evening when we arrived. The scents from both the sound and the kitchen both wetted our appetites. The service was very friendly and above board. Choosing to be seated outside on the patio we had to feel a bit chagrined as one of the hostesses valiantly tried to keep the torches lit in the face of... More

I found this location to dine out after proposing and called to confirm their hours. I was told they were open until 9pm and didn't need a reservation. When we arrived the parking lot was packed. The path up to the restaurant was very charming, a pleasant atmosphere to be sure. Upon walking in the door a short blonde woman... More

While there is room for individual misunderstanding, the only aspect of truth in this review is that our manager told the couple it was not possible someone told them not to make a reservation. In peak and shoulder season, we are often full by reservation. Our front desk professionals are trained by script to tell callers to always make a... More

We have had our fancy eat out night at Cafe Pamlico for many years. We were seated in the porch area but the accomadations have been upgraded from prior years. It was a little loud with another big party there. Anne was our server as last year and she was attentive and had great suggestions. Over prior years we felt... More

We sort of stumbled across Cafe Pamlico. The setting in the evening was fun and there was a live guitarist playing. The atmosphere was just right. The mosquitos were active but the restaurant thoughtfully provides bug spray. The food was OK and certainly above the normal standard in this part of the world ... at last food that was not... More

Our annual date-night spot has the most amazing sunset views over the sound. Fun seasonal cocktails and the food is great as well. The only down-side: mosquitoes. The restaurant provides plenty of natural and conventional bug repellent, but sometimes that just isn't enough... We were fortunate that there was a table available indoors so that we could continue our meal... More
