The service was friendly and the food was good. You could tell the team had a genuine care for their customers. The owner was heavily involved in caring for the customers and looked like he had great care for his employees as well.

By far the best breakfast spot in town. Celebrating our 17 year anniversary and the owner announced it to the restaurant to say family positive. He def is a reason alone to come back, let alone the food and service was awesome!

Thank you Shane. We just love celebrating anything family positive. We believe that “family” doesn’t get enough good press and any chance we get to celebrate, we do it.

I had the Western Omelet my wife had the Feta and Spinach Omelet. Both were amazing! You wait outside and they take your name. Wait is very short. Staff is AWESOME! I was a young ladies birthday and Mike the host asked everyone in the...room to sing happy birthday to her. Our waitress asked if we wanted Togo cups for our drinks, instead of us having to ask for them. I highly recommend this establishment for breakfast.More

We really wanted their breakfast, but we arrived too late. However, our server was able to bring us some breakfast biscuits covered with delicious sausage gravy. That was so kind of her. Service was outstanding and so is the ambience. You feel the love they...put into this diner. The food was outstanding, as well.More

We stayed near Bryson City and on the day we left we wanted to get a good breakfast for the road trip home. We drove into town and noticed a lot of interest in the Diner, so we went in. We were not disappointed. Small...town atmosphere. A variety of customers from bikers to some dressed more formally. Great breakfast food and friendly service. Our breakfast was served fast and delicious. The owner stopped by to chat. In his rounds of the diner, he stopped everyone when he found someone celebrating a birthday and had us sing to the customer. Very unexpected, but something you might find in a small-town family diner that enjoys having fun while you eat. Definitely on my list when we're "goin' to Carolina" again.More

Thank you for such a wonderful note. We love that you were able to share one of the “family positive” moments we like to celebrate. And, we love the reference to our Allman Brothers, “Blue Sky” lyrics on our wall. It’s our favorite song.

The people here are SO very nice I hate to write a less than perfect review BUT my catfish lunch was accompanied by exactly two marble size hush puppies and a disposable container of pulverized cole slaw the size of a half dollar containing not...more than 2 tablespoons of slaw I'm sure. The catfish portion was also small (half the fish) but I did like the atmosphere inside and the staff was very friendly.More

Hi Timothy, I do have to say that is the first ever note we’ve received complaining of small portions. We do our best to provide what we can to keep prices in check. We certainly hope you’ll give us another opportunity sometime soon.

We were in town for a day trip and found this place only because of the large crowd waiting for a table outside the door. Don't worry the wait is not long. We always use trip advisor but the Diner is not listed as a..."Restaurant" but is listed as "Quick Bites" so it does not show up on a restaurant search. So, we did not even know it was in town until we saw the crowd. I am sure glad we did, everything we had was great and fresh. I had the best chicken salad sandwich I think I have ever had!! This place is a must when in town. I hope the owners have it listed as a Restaurant in the future.More

We stopped in for lunch at this diner and the service start to finish was great! We did a pretty light lunch, half a sandwich and bowl of the lobster bisque soup. Neither blew me away but it was good. We got talked into the...triple berry cobbler for dessert and that was excellent. I’d recommend if you’re looking for a place for a light lunch and decent prices.More

We were a bit concerned about how long breakfast might take, since we were on a tight schedule. We arrived at 8:00, were immediately seated, and were finished and in our car at 8:40. We couldn’t ask for better service and the food was amazing....The eggs were cooked to perfection: this was the first time in years that we were served properly cooked over-easy eggs. The other breakfast items were also delicious. Our only regrets are that Everett Street Diner was closed the only other day we were in Bryson City, and we live 700 miles away so won’t be visiting again soon. We wish we had an Everett Street Diner near us!More

ESD is our go-to spot for great meals when we’re in the Bryson City area. Best breakfasts in the Smokies. Wonderful salad plates, great old fashioned burgers, and the most helpful and friendly staff you’ll ever meet. Treat yourselves!

We had actually stopped at three other places (two were closed and one had a wait) before we stumbled on this place. I’m so glad we did! I tried to talk my husband into splitting a sandwich with me but he said he was too...hungry to split. He got the The Diner’s Club Sandwich with fries and I got the Light Lunch with a half sandwich of chicken salad and a side salad. (I was secretly saving room for a piece of Coconut Cream Pie!😉) Everything was fresh, delicious, and huge! My “too hungry to split husband” could only finish half of his sandwich! We were on our way out for a hike so we regrettably had to leave the other half. My “light lunch” left no room for dessert. 😢 Everyone was friendly and welcoming with true Southern Hospitality! I left without my jacket and the server took the time to run it out to me even though they were very busy. We ended up spending about what we would at McDonald’s for a much healthier meal and much better service!More

Thank you for such a wonderful note. Next time you dine with us try ordering backwards. That’s right , order dessert first - THEN you can eat healthy. And then go on the hike to walk it all off.

We are downtown so parking is on the street. There is a public parking lot just around the corner behind Mountain Layers Brewery. If walking through town, you can also park in lot behind visitor’s center. Thank... More
