Happy atmosphere, friendly staff and awesome food! Love coming here on every visit to Bryson City. Locally owned and the owners are so kind! Coffee, bagels, sandwiches, killer desserts all so good! A must try!
My daughter has celiac disease so we needed gluten free catering for her pre wedding brunch. So many options: crustless quiche in many flavors, homemade gluten free bagels and muffins. Large fresh fruit bowl. Everything was delicious! Bridal party loved it! My husband and I...went back the next day for breakfast because the food was so good. Homemade cinnamon rolls are delicious (not gluten free). They have lunch options as well. We did not have the opportunity to try any of those menu items. Owners and staff are super friendly! Definitely stop by when you are in Bryson City.More
OMG!!!! THis place is amazing. I would drive just for their frozen coffee. I had sugar free and it was the best thing ever. And the quiche out of this world. My grandson had a GF Chocolate chip oatmeal cookie and he is a very...picky eater and he ate every bite he loved it. Can not wait to go back .More
Terrible customer service. As soon as we walked in the door we were being yelled at and moved along before we could even grab a menu because it is a small Cafe. There are kinder ways of asking people to move. We were a group...of 10, so it seemed they were more worried about having to serve a large group than the money we would've brought to them by dining there. We walked out immediately. Such a shame in such a nice small town, where everyone else was very kind, to be treated that way as soon as we set foot in the door. Everyone go to Everett's Diner instead!More
Nice little place, but in addition to being closed on Tuesday, it closes every day at 3:00 PM, meaning that at 3:01 on a Monday afternoon, you can't find an open coffee shop in Bryson City...and that is out of three in the city.
EXCELLENT quiche! The coffees were amazing but the quiche brought me back every morning of our 4 day visit to Bryson City. The owner is a total hoot - I’d work for her in a minute! The whole team is dedicated to quality and excellent...customer service.More
One of our favorite spots when we're traveling in NC. Great and healthy lunch and breakfast options and really good coffee. We've actually had their coffee beans shipped to us back home in the past. Highly recommend a visit if you're in Bryson City.
Would definitely not recommend mountain perks. Ordered 6 bagels and cream cheese to go, two coffees and a smoothie. Planned to eat them on the way to a hike. They handed us frozen bagels … no where did it say they were frozen, they had...fresh on the counter. Asked them for fresh bagels and got attitude that they would not have those for the to go pack. They finally agreed to microwave them and saw them checking microwaved quiche temperature with their bare hands. Also got our coffee order wrong and the smoothie was not quality, it was like a soda. Artificial and sugared. Not even 1 star.More
You must get quiche and cinnamon buns!! Coffee was good. Keep in mind they are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. I thought I was going to get one more cinnamon bun before leaving town and soon disappointed I will not be able to! Enjoy.
We had just finished our Saturday train ride and were craving a cup of coffee from a local coffee shop. As luck would have it we passed Mountain Perks on the train as we came back into town. It was about 3:30 ish and we...walked inside, followed the arrows to the counter and waited for someone to help us. Since we were the only two in line, we figure it would be a quick wait. Nope. We watched three young staff members look at us and continue on their work of cleaning. Not one stopped, said hello, what can I get you, or any thing that resembled they would be with us shortly. After reading their customer "pledge" above the counter, we decided it was time to go, without coffee, and never being acknowledged we were there. If you are going to pledge to be customer focused, then be customer focused.More
The home-made bagels and cinnamon rolls paired with the delicious coffee is exactly what you need to get going in the morning! They open early so you can pick up some great food and take it back to the campsite!
