Like Jerry Seinfeld said; "you know how to take a reservation, you just don't know how to keep a reservation!" That's what is wrong with the Cork and Bean. No matter if you are a local or visitor, this place will gladly take your reservation, and then put you behind any walk-in customers. Why take reservations at all if they... More

Winter in a small town bordering a National Park can be lonely, add to that some heavy winter snowstorm and things get challenging for the random, isolated visitors. We were visiting Smoky Mountains National Park during possibly the worst weekend of the year, amidst terribly inclement weather. After a very tiring hiking trip in the Deep Creek area, we were... Stopped in for lunch, based on a suggestion from friends who visit Bryson City frequently. Our lunch was quite good. Judging from how busy the place was, it must be a popular place to eat.

We stopped on our return from Chattanooga and waited 20 minutes for a table to open up. It was well worth the wait. Delicious crepes and other exotic eats. The person seated next to us ordered an intriguing chili dish, which she'd admired the night before when she had dinner there. She was so pleased with it she asked me... More

Out of 4 evenings in Bryson City we where 3 evenings there. Food was excellent and service great. The morning after the snow fall everything was closed " because of snow" despite this place and we had a great breakfast. Just loved this place!

It is an excellent restaurant with excellent food and service. It is much nicer than one might expect to find in a sleepy mountain town of pop 1400. The atmosphere is what I would call "nice rustic," but my partner said they had the most uncomfortable (rustic) chair she had ever sat on in a restaurant. The rustic furnishings are... More

This restaurant was a delight and we came here because of the reviews. Its location is adorable...within a quaint local boutique hotel. The decor is very cabin-like, very cozy. You have the bar section and the dinner area, both with dining tables. The menu was varied and interesting. The chili with jalepeno cornbread was a hit with the men. The... More

Probably one of the best restaurants in the area but I felt like the food was mediocre. My husband and I shared a crepe and he had the chili. The service was mediocre as well.

My husband took me here for my birthday with our three boys. We ordered lots of food. The menu is the perfect size and has something for everyone. We started with date stuffed goat cheese wrapped in bacon. They were sweet and bacon perfectly crisp. Delicious! Four of us had a cup of hearty tasty chili with a side of... More
