I’m always down to try a mom and pop dive because we all know they’re the best, and this didn’t disappoint. Cheeseburger was like a smash burger you’d make at home. Chili cheese fries were good, a little different than you might be used to,...with more of a loose meat type chili, and the slaw was creamy with what I believe to be a sour cream base much like my grandma used to make. 1960’s style drive up service, and a peaceful view of the Tuckasegee River, just a few minutes from Bryson City.More

Had this place on my list for a short trip to BC, but almost forgot it, because it's not on the main strip. Good local drive-in dive-type place. Car service only but a little slow, although totally blame that on covid and difficulty finding people...to work due to government handouts not to work. Food was excellent, specifically old school burger. No ice cream or milkshakes available now due to staff shortages. Would visit agan for sure.More

This was a cute retro drive-up dining experience, like going back in time. It was a rainy day and it was very crowded with a long wait, but the burgers, fries and shakes were a great treat after our long hike. The dining room was...closed at the time of our visit.More

We found this little tiny ole fashioned drive in. It’s pretty out dated but looks to have original call system at the cars. Don’t let the look of the place deceive you. The food is super cheap and for a little fast food place was...actually pretty good.. I got 2 corn dogs and cheese fries. Husband got a hamburger with normal toppings and fries then also ordered a corn dog. Total was around $14. Food cooked in decent time and brought to our car. I definetly wanted to eat at this location. It’s right in the river such a beautiful view. Only thing that could have made this place better was some picnic tables out by that gorgeous view. This will now be one of our go to places when we visit.More

When we placed our order, they were out of a number of things. We ordered 4 sandwiches and 2 dinners. It took over 30 minutes to get our food from a server who didn't wear a mask. The order was wrong. When we got someone...to come out to the car, they REFUSED to either correct the order or refund charges for items we failed to receive unless we returned the sandwiches. It had taken so long that several of us had already eaten what they were given. One person returned her sandwich, which was supposed to have been a chili cheeseburger. The server brought the SAME sandwich back (a health violation) with added topings (including a hair) but still no chili on it, and she was afraid to eat it. The buns and rolls were hard/stale. The fries had no salt. The shrimp was rubbery and greasy and no cocktail sauce was available even though we has specifically requested it (had we known there was no cocktail sauce we wouldn't have orded shrimp). It was cooked so long you couldn't tell whether it was deveined but, in light of the standard of cleanliness, it probably wasn't. The skinny piece of flounder they gave us was overcooked and had the texture of shoe leather. Finally, the outdoor restrooms are for employees only. When it comes to this drive-in, we reccomend that you just keep driving!More

This drive-in was built in the 40's and rebuilt in the 60's. Has that nostalgic look and feel. Food was very good. Located beside the river. Curb service was prompt. Had hamburger, hot dog, and fries. You can have them "your way"! Brings back memories...for the older folks and a new experience for most kids!.More

The onion rings are outstanding! Love them. The burgers are just old fashioned, thick and a little greasy, loaded and are delicious.

My daughter and I passed by here the other day while rambling in the mountains, and I knew as soon as I saw it that we were going to have to try it. Built originally in 1960 a little bit up the road, it was...flooded in 1964 and moved to it's present location. You can go in and eat, but most folks pull up under the canopy and use the handy intercom to place an order. Then the wait staff brings it out to you. We had cheeseburgers, chocolate shakes, fries, and a heaping helping of nostalgia. I hope it lasts another 60 years. The food was good, and I was pleased to have my 15 year old see a real live drive-in restaurant. So if you're in the area, stop on in and show the kiddies an example of how life was "back in the day". And as always, Happy Motoring.More

We stopped in this last weekend and ate. The place is an “old-time” burger, hot dog joint. I ordered the Double Cheese burger & onion rings and it was good. The bathrooms are outside the establishment and around the corner. The inside needs some deep...cleaning, but it seems like most folks enjoy eating in their cars under the awning. They only take cash? Which is tough in this modern world. Overall it was tasty, priced right and it is what you expect from a burger hop, grill type establishment. Not better than average. The inside needs a cleaning.More

one of the best places to eat in the area! quick and small, great for a bite to eat if you’re driving around the area. Looks a little run down but that definitely adds to the charm. 10/10 would recommend! (do not go if you...have ANY fish allergies!)More

We stopped here for dinner before the Polar Express. The people working here were so friendly. We had burgers, fries, onion rings, hot fudge sundaes and cakes. Everything was great and prices were excellent!

You can eat inside in the dining room, and there used to be picnic tables out back by the river.
