Our blackened grouper equaled anything in Atlanta. Very reasonably prices and good service. We go there often on fishing trips.

We were really excited to try this place for two reasons...kayaked to Nantahala and were starving and also because they used to be in Tampa and got voted Southern Living's best burger...sometime in the 90s. It took awhile to be greeted. Menu was extensive...steaks, burgers, seafood of all kinds, and chicken. I hadn't had trout on this trip, so went... More

Our family enjoyed most of the food. Steak I had was was not served hot. Enjoyed the fish and fish bites. Not sure if we would go back. There are many better choices in Bryson.

We had a huge party of 23 and they were very patient with the crew we had! Lots of small children! We sat at different tables but we were fine with it. They got us seated quickly. My table started off with mozzarella sticks and grouper bites. Both were really good but the grouper was amazing! Everyone's meal was huge... More

Good service but the food did not live up to the hype. Locals raved about the burgers but we found them to be average. Heads up - bathroom was dirty. It hadn't had a proper cleaning in a long time. Wouldn't let kids small kids use. There were too many dirty things to touch, including the spigot.

With the good reviews, I was looking forward to eating here. This is not a restaurant that I will return too. The food was cooked well, but lacked taste. If they learn how to properly season food, this place has potential. I say this, as I am a person that hates salt & does not like overly seasoned food.

Tripadvisor vs word of mouth: both locals and visitors told us this was the best meal in town. Tripadvisor rated it as #2. Frankly, after visiting the #1 rated place (visiting NOC whitewater for a couple of days), the local word of mouth wins out. Jimmy Mac's is practically worth visiting Bryson City on its own. In the area for... More

This was a strange meal. We were staying in Nantahala and came in for dinner. It was raining and the place was crowded. The seating was odd. Try to get a seat in a booth in the back. We had to wait a few extra minutes despite calling ahead. The reason, as explained by our waitress was that " You... More

We are a family owned and operated all American steak and seafood restaurant that specializes in hand pattied beef, buffalo, and elk burgers, hand cut steaks, and fresh seafood. Since we opened in 1978 in Tampa Florida by my father, we have been believers in keeping things fresh, fairly priced, and family friendly.
