We asked multiple locals for recommendations on good BBQ. All pointed to this place. I'm not sure why. Our group had 3 couples, each couples' order was messed up. Incorrect sides were given; some sides were absent entirely; main proteins were incorrect. Food took a long time to come out. Which is weird for a BBQ place. When we did... More

Cash only but ATM inside the building. You order your food at the counter and it is a good quick bbq fix with beautiful views

I passed by this restaurant earlier in the day and we decided to stop and get some BBQ. I ordered the BBQ plate with slaw, beans and fries. Everything was wonderful. I really liked the slaw. The best I have ever had. We got our order to go and sat at the picnic tables over looking the river. It was... More

We stopped here for take out on the way to our cabin, which the best decision ever. The ribs were amazing, fell right off the bone. Brisket, hush puppies, rolls, and slaw were all delicious. We will go back! It's cash only. They do not accept credit cards, but they have an ATM inside.

Bought a pound of BBQ, they have Mayonnaise Slaw--- ( I hate BBQ without it) baked beans, and hush-puppies. Plenty of food for 5 people and I felt it was a budget price. Cash only, but they have an ATM right in front. Since I got it to go, I bought 3 different cups of sauce --vinegar, sweet, and regular.... More

Less than a mile from downtown Bryson city is this amazing, cash only, barbecue joint. I knew it had potential when I saw in addition to the inside seating seven picnic tables outside for the busy times. The brisket was excellent, and was extremely tender with a great smoky flavor. If you're a barbecue fan like me do yourself a... More

Found this place while running out of options. Food was just okay, nothing bad, but nothing to brag about. One of our friends had to send his "hot" ham and cheese back because it was cold. They did correct it. I personally didn't care much for sauce, but that may be personal taste.

I had the BBQ plate and it was pretty good. Fries are like the bar style nice and thick which I enjoyed. The wife had a cheeseburger and it fell apart so she was disappointed. Overall it was nothing to write home about.

I visited the Mountain Perks during Spring Break in April 2016. We needed something quick for supper and this place was located by the local IGA. It was good and owner was a nice guy. It seemed to take a while, but we were tired and that likely exacerbated the situation. It was good food, not great, not horrible. It... More

Staff was rude, BBQ was mushy and tasted like butter! Ribs were greasy and had no flavor. Didn't even finish eating.
