We had approximately 30 people for our wedding rehearsal dinner and The Square Root was an incredible place to have it! Absolutely delicious food and amazing service! They made us feel so special and our guests were so impressed. Highly recommend for a regular dinner...or to host a larger event! Can’t wait to go back :)More

Great restaurant. We had to wait 30 minutes for our party of six. I got the chicken and fig salad and ate every bite. Service was great and our waitress was so very friendly.

Wonderful stop for lunch on the way to Asheville. We had the Blue Cheese Burger and the Fried Green Tomato BLT. Both were delicious! The service was great. We enjoyed sitting outside in the quaint alleyway. They have several Brevard Brewing Co beers on tap....We enjoyed their IPA very much.More

We usually love this place...local...been many times. But a few things were off the other night. Service is still good...and it was crowded between 5:30pm and 7pm...very casual and a mixture of age/types/folks. We ordered their "Poke ahi" for an appetizer...and the tuna as very...good as were the toppings. But it is advertised as on top of "won ton"...NOPE...not on top of "won ton"...but won ton skins/wrappers...sorry, we were expecting Won Ton. Trout was not up to snuff...dried out overcooked and there was a wedge/lump of something they feel is "stuffing"...more like dried wet bread...flavorless...who could find any crawfish there? Other dishes were ok...although heavy on the pasta and very light on the shrimp...and heavy on the mashed potatoes and ok on the salmon. We like this place and will most likely be back for another try...but hopefully they will be back to normal standards? If not, there are other restaurants...that are better.More

Gosh, where to start? Perhaps with the cocktails we ordered while we waited for a table. The martinis were spot on - very dry with ice crystals. We opted for an outdoor table and our wait was well within the time estimated by the host....Our server was attentive and extremely familiar with the menu, specials and wine list. So...the food we ordered was off the chain! Ordered wok fried brussels sprouts for an appetizer, and we're still trying to reverse engineer how to pull that off. Pam had the Mountain Trout with crawfish stuffing and I had one of the night's specials (a Waygu steak dish with oyster mushrooms). Fantastic! We loved this establishment: great drinks, fantastic food and wonderful ambiance.More

A must stop for anyone vacationing in the area. I come back every year! The food is delicious and of very high quality. The wait staff is friendly and provide great service. I love the Scallops Saltimbocca ( I have them hold the prosciutto) and...the Cedar plank Salmon, sooo yummy! And they have great salad dressings ( I may go back today just for a salad!). The sun dried tomatoes basil and their homemade blue cheese are fantastic! Can’t tell you how the deserts are ( I never have room), but they too look yummy. This really is the best restaurant in the area, especially after a day of mountain biking!More

We had a great lunch on their patio. It was a little noisy inside, but that may have just been the large cyclist group. They do have good gluten free options. It can be a wait if you have a large group like 6+ but...it wasn’t hard for just two. We will go back!More

I enjoy the food and service. Hadn't been for a year or so and now have managed to fit in two visits. Love the food. And the ambiance.

We chose Square Root for our first sit-down restaurant dining experience since the pandemic began and we were not disappointed. Once again the food was delicious and the service friendly and professional. The outdoor seating area was full so we opted to eat inside, the...tables are distanced and the staff all wore masks, everything was sparkling clean. My salad and shrimp scampi were delicious, the fresh baked bread was a pleasant surprise. Hubby had the special of black sea bass and mussels and enjoyed it very much, although he said the broth was a little bland. To sit and enjoy being served was so very nice, we have surely missed it! We highly recommend Square Root.More
