We have been here in the past a few years ago but since back in the area we wanted to give it another try. My wife ordered the BBQ chicken; at first she was told they were out of it however the waiter came back...and told her there was one left....she ordered it. I ordered the Full Rack of Baby Back Ribs and we each ordered a salad. On the positive the salads were terrific, nice and fresh, good dressing and plantiful salad. My wife also enjoyed her chicken...she said it had a nice taste and it was well presented. On the negative: Small Negative...the dinner came out while we were still eating our salad; that is minor but the dinners could of been timed better. Larger Negatives: My dinner was TERRIBLE! When the plate came out I could not even tell if it was Baby Back Ribs. The manager came over to check on us...and I asked...are these Baby Back Ribs. He told me yes...but before I could say anything...he said...these were the ends and I will replace them...he knew immedetaly how horrible they looked. The manager brought out another plate; however it did not look much better. The ribs were dry, no taste and nothing to brag about. The manager came over again and asked...and I told him...to be honest...these are also terrible. He offered to get me something else but I did not want to wait for another meal. l He did the right thing and did remove my dinner charge from the bill...which was professional of him and much appreciated. The dinner was so bad I only ate about 1/3 of the dinner and did not even want to take the rest home...it was terrible. Another negative...everyone looks unclean and not truely presentable as a server; very nice yet not professional in any way. With a few slight changes, the wait staff can look much cleaner and professional. Another negative...I went to use the rest room and it was filthy! There are two areas of restrooms; one was by the kitchen; that is the restroom I used. When I came out of the rest room I looked inside the kitchen...also extremely dirty...I even noticed 2 rolls on the floor and junk everywhere. Another negative...the outside should be cleaned up, same with the inside to show some pride of ownership. I felt the manager was extremely kind and admitted how bad the food looked yet all of these problems should not occur; especially the cleaning...it costs nothing to keep things clean...I could only imagine what I did not see in the kitchen. At first, after the bad meal, my thought was we will give it another try....but after seeing the rest room and the kitchen...there is no way I would return. This was the Boone location however we have been to the Banner Elk location years back also...always had a great meal yet always disorganized. Ownership needs to work on some of the dishes...and certainly train the cooking staff how to clean, work on the food presentation while the outside staff...need to be trained on service with a professional look (I know it is not a high end steak house yet even as a place for Ribs...the wait staff should look much more professional). Someone needs to be certain that the restrooms are clean, the floors in the restaurant are clean and most importantly that the kitchen is clean. Great Salad, Great chicken...but downhill from there.More

We had an amazing meal tonight even though we ate it in our vehicle when an afternoon storm sent us running for cover with our pup. Even in less than ideal circumstances, we were blown away by the food and the hospitality. Ribs were falling...off the bone, with a delicious sauce. My son loved the smoked chicken (insane dry rub) and creamy mac and cheese. My honey devoured his brisket Chile tacos. We loved the outdoor, pet friendly area during the time we were out there. The staff was so helpful in switching our orders to takeout and making sure we had what we needed.More

As someone who cooks a lot of bbq, I went to this restaurant knowing it would be less than authentic, as there were no signs of a traditional pit bbq or smoker. The appetizers (hillbilly fries and chicharrones) were good. All of the sides (grits,...beans, Mac and cheese, okra) we’re good. Oddly, they do not have cornbread. For the meats, the ribs and pulled pork were dry and lacking flavor, with not nearly enough rub/seasoning. I can’t comment on the brisket or chicken because they were out of both. Not sure how a bbq restaurant would not have chicken or brisket in the early evening in a half empty restaurant? The bbq sauces were more runny than a traditional sauce but too thick to be considered a dip. The atmosphere inside is bland. The servers were nice, but they brought the main meals about 2 minutes after the appetizers, so they need work with the coordination. Not the worst bbq, but not the best.More

Hoping to have some good Barbeque we ordered a full rack of ribs, sliced brisket and some sides. The brisket was good, moist, nice flavor. The ribs were not. Overcooked, dry and greasy. Not edible. We guessed they may have been cooked a prior day....Greens were tender, moderate flavor.More

Seating isn’t very comfortable, and they put us by the main entrance door which was constantly open so on a chilly, rainy day it made all of us cold. Our waitress took our initial orders and then disappeared so we had to ask the hostess...to track down anything else we needed. My husband and I ordered the sampler for two. For sides, the baked beans, coleslaw and crinkle cut fries were good, but the cheesy grits were bland and cool. The pulled pork was the best thing on the meat platter, the brisket had a lot of fat but what meat there was had flavor, and the ribs were the worst. The silverskin wasn’t removed and perhaps the ribs weren’t cooked long enough because the massive amounts of fat didn’t cook off and the silverskin made it super hard to saw off what little of the BLAND meat the ribs did have on them.More

Nothing was hot. Ribs room temp, baked beans room temp, cheese grits so cold they were one clump. Not that it mattered but the ribs weren't even cleaned. (removing the membrane ) Lazy prep and dangerous serving temps. Who is watching what comes out of...the kitchen. No reason to get sloppy because of help problems. Waitress never checked back after we were served our food. I predict they are going to get someone sick. Be careful here.More

We wanted BBQ for dinner and decided to try this place. They have limited seating due to COVID restrictions and were near capacity when we arrived, but we got seated quickly. We had to wait a few minutes for a waitress to come to the...table. But once she did, we placed our order and the food arrived in a very reasonable time. I ordered the brisket and got a very generous portion along with fries and slaw. The brisket was tender and juicy with very good flavor. They offer a choice of sauces to suit different tastes. My wife ordered the pulled pork and also received very generous portions. They offer a large selection of brews, although we didn’t try any. Overall, service was good and food was great.More

This place was right by where we were staying so we chose to eat there. They have craft beer which is a plus. The beer we got was excellent! We ordered the sampler platter for 2. Only $30 and comes with enough food to feed...3 or more depending on how much you eat. Everything on the plate was excellent. The pulled pork was my favorite. The plate also had ribs and brisket. The sauces are on the side which is what I love. Their house slaw was good. We ate so much we got completely stuffed. Even had some leftovers. The waitstaff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.More

Food was good and so was service but there wasn't a mask in sight on anyone even tho their website said masks were required. I know its confusing right now but I think servers should wear masks. I gave them a 4 because rest was...pretty good. It has a bar that was kind of noisy but I kind of expected it.More

$6-$15. Great lunch deals for around $7 or you can get sampler platters at the higher end of the range. Their website lists their menu prices.
