My son & I went for breakfast. Was a decent crowd. Nice seating outside but a bit crowded inside. Food was all local which was nice. Food was decent.

Breakfast at Melanie's is a favorite, with a wonderful selection of items. The athosphere is down home, but with a splash of Melanie's good tastes it feels more like a great dining experience.

You will find more of a taste for area quisen. Great for breakfast. My favorite is the Potato Madness. Home fries with eggs and lots of cheese. This restaurant is also owned by the Stick Boy people!

We came here one year ago and knew we would be back this year on our visit to Boone. Good coffee and great food in large portions! I was intrigued by the special which was hoe cake with sweet potatoes, black beans, mango salsa and eggs any way you want! It was fabulous!

This was the second time with we have been to Melanie's with the other time being a year ago. This morning the weather was absolutely perfect so we chose to sit outside. The ambiance was relaxing and peaceful even though we were close to the main road. I got the Wautaga Sunrise and a cup of coffee. Both were just... More

Thinking about Melanie's less than a week later still makes my mouth water. There for breakfast, had a benedict-type poached egg-on-brioche dish. I asked about the doneness of the eggs and the waiter knew. He was adorable, by the way. Most importantly, the eggs were served to the doneness ordered. Such a small thing, but so hard to find. The... More

We went to Melanie's for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both chose a smoked turkey sandwich with sliced apples, toasted walnuts, provolone, feta, and swiss cheese. The hoagie roll was fresh from a local bakery and was very light and tasty. It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The service was excellent - the servers... More

Description
Melanie's is a tradition in downtown Boone serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. We source all of our bread, eggs and burgers locally as well as other items when we can. We have an eclectic and creative menu serving food made from scratch. We are sensitive to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners. Now open evening hours with a new small plate menu, Booneshine beer on draft and wine by the glass. Come see us Thur-Sat evenings and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat on our beautiful deck while you watch the hustle and bustle of downtown Boone.
