There's limited seating indoors so you may want to plan b/c at times there can be a bit of a wait. The staff is excellent and friendly.... the kitchen was singing and having a ball while we waited for our food. I ate the equivalent of a lumberjack's breakfast and felt absolutely great after eating it. that's a sign of... More

This place was awesome. Went with three other family members and tried all their food (of course) and everything tasted amazing. I got the eggs da vinci (made with locally sourced bread) was a delicious twist to eggs Benedict. Dad got the special crab cake eggs Benedict (by far the best dish as our table), the crab cake was a... More

This place is one of the gems of Boone! We went to breakfast on a Monday morning and it was not at all crowded. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great. Waitstaff was very nice and helpful. The food was amazing! Great value - you get lots of food for what you pay! Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Our waitress was terrible, probably because we were seated outside and her other tables were inside. It took her forever to do anything. One person in our party had cold food and sent it back. It came back still cold. They warmed it up instead of fixing him a new plate. He sent it back again and got a fresh... More

Get there early or you'll be waiting in line, especially on a Saturday. The portions are large. My wife and I shared a meal and a short stack of pancakes- we had leftovers. Highly recommend!

I had breakfast at Melanie's on a recent visit to Boone to visit my daughter. This is one of my most favorite restaurants to eat breakfast in Boone and on this day I had the Quiche special which was Tomato, Basil, Swiss, Feta & Provolone. It came with fresh fruit and toast with apple butter. As usual the food was... More

We enjoyed our meals (brunch and dinner). Both occasions we choose to eat outdoors and enjoyed the food, drink and ambience. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. I learned they do not have quick staff turnover which is a tribute to the leadership, food quality and a good place to work. The restaurant is well located downtown Boone on... More

We enjoyed our sandwiches, eating outside and the general vibe of this local institution. It seems like the food is sourced locally and everything is fresh. We tried the turkey Reuben with a side of home fries and the Caribbean Sammie with chicken and a pasta salad. All very yummy.

Breakfast at Melanie's is a favorite, with a wonderful selection of items. The athosphere is down home, but with a splash of Melanie's good tastes it feels more like a great dining experience.

Description
Melanie's is a tradition in downtown Boone serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. We source all of our bread, eggs and burgers locally as well as other items when we can. We have an eclectic and creative menu serving food made from scratch. We are sensitive to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners. Now open evening hours with a new small plate menu, Booneshine beer on draft and wine by the glass. Come see us Thur-Sat evenings and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat on our beautiful deck while you watch the hustle and bustle of downtown Boone.
