Family of four (12 and 14 yr). On vacation and have already eaten there twice. Outdoor seating is great. Food is very good. Service is excellent. Large portions, quality food and average prices. What more could you want? We will be back next year!

What a great dining experience. The girls had the "special" quiche. The boys had different breakfast. Service was awesome

My husband had he western omelette, and I think he said this is really good between every bite! Lol! I had the truckers plate which was a biscuit covered in mushroom gravy with 2 eggs. And home fries. All tasted just like it came out of my mama's kitchen! ( and that means it was great!)

We had walked by Melanie's many times while in Boone and finally decided to have brunch there today. It was really good! Food was fresh, delicious, interesting combinations, and generous portions at reasonable prices. My husband had the western omelette, breakfast potatoes, and toast with apple butter. I had Eggs Da Vinci, which I really enjoyed. It also came with... More

Very slow service for weekday 10am. Waited over 30 minutes for food, then obvious they plated potatoes, biscuit /gravy first waiting for the eggs because they were COLD. Eggs were good as was the coffee when we could get it, that's why it didnt get a "terrible" rating. Finally had to chase down server for bill. Management needs to hire... More

Decor is lacking. We opted for eating outside, which was pleasant. They just started serving for dinner a week or so ago, according to the wait staff. The menu is extremely limited, but has some good choices. The portions are on the smaller size, but adequate; and left room for us to order dessert; french toast with vanilla ice cream.... More

It was a beautiful July evening on King Street in Boone, we delighted in the Art Walk, and had a fabulous meal while enjoying the different musical street performers. Andrew greeted us with a huge smile, and seated our group of 7. Helana was our server, and she is the sweetest with a lovely heart. We enjoyed a variety of... More

My hubby and I really enjoyed our breakfast here in Boone. The food is a unique take on classic fare. I had the Appalachian Breakfast which included eggs, choice of meat, grits or homefries, fried apples, a biscuit with mushroom gravy, and a multigrain pancake. Everything was super tasty! My husband got the soysage omelette with toast and homefries. I... More

Description
Melanie's is a tradition in downtown Boone serving breakfast and lunch seven days a week. We source all of our bread, eggs and burgers locally as well as other items when we can. We have an eclectic and creative menu serving food made from scratch. We are sensitive to vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners. Now open evening hours with a new small plate menu, Booneshine beer on draft and wine by the glass. Come see us Thur-Sat evenings and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat on our beautiful deck while you watch the hustle and bustle of downtown Boone.
