I follow Vidalia on Facebook. All their postings look & sound so tasty. I was looking so forward to eating at Vidalia. We went for lunch. I should have stuck with my first choice, but decided to get the chicken & waffles on the server's recommendation. She said they were the best she'd ever had. Not that I've had chicken... More

Our party enjoyed the good at Vidalia. The room is a little noisy but doesn't affect conversation too much. We were quickly served jars of water and the wine order arrived quickly. A reasonably priced Argentinian Malbec. We shared one portion of the huge onion rings between six of us for a light starter. The batter was very light. For... More

Great place to eat in Boone. The best chicken and waffles ever. I had it and enjoyed. Real maple syrup and delicious. Great atmosphere. Near college (Appalachia State). Would definitely recommend.

Great restaurant in Boone. We had a large party and made reservations which served us well as there was a nice crowd. A lot of locally supplied fare. Risotto was done nicely which is always difficult in a busy place. Others raved about the sweet potato ravioli. God selection of wines. Would go back again.

We have eaten lunch and dinner over the course of the summer. Tasteful decor, attentive staff, reasonable time for food to arrive after ordering. Suggest reservations for dinner as they fill up quickly; you can eat at bar sometimes if you can find a seat. Broad wine list for the area restaurants. It remains on my list of possible return... Excellent quality, highest end restaurant in town, bar none. Creative dishes. Reserved for special occasions. Continues to expand, showing how popular it is here.

We always look forward to coming to Boone to spend a relaxing weekend in the mountains- we discovered Vidalia several years ago and have spent many special occasions at one of the best restaurants in Boone. However, we were most disappointed this trip to find our intimate local bistro had expanded to what we felt disjointed commercial restaurant. So disappointed!... More

We have been coming to the Boone area now for about ten years and the overall cuisine here is mediocre, at best. Vidalia is the best restaurant in the area and it's not even close. Prices are moderate but food quality is high and service and ambiance quite relaxed and inviting. My only small complaint was the wine glass servings... More

My wife and I had an exceptional meal at Vidalia this past weekend. We sat out on the side porch and it was a perfect setting as the sun filtered in. Our waitress was great. She was very relaxed and didn't push any meals on us. We ended ordering the pimento cheese with ho cakes. Absolutely delicious. We licked the... More
