We are always on the lookout for an interesting dining experience when away from home - never wanting to visit the same boring chain establishments that we can choose anytime. Found this great place after reading a few reviews and looking at the menu online. We wanted to meet some friends who where also in town visiting the college during... More

Our family of 6 (two elderly grandparents, two adults, two teens) went to Vidalia for the first time on a Wednesday night. Being off-season and mid-week, the restaurant was not crowded. Each one of us ordered a different item. I had the crabcake and grits served with a Vidalia onion chowchow. Very nice, although I would have liked the crabcake... More

Amazing food and service by Lindsey. Ask for her she's very attentive and will give you top notch service and knows the menu and food very well!! Started off with a Blackberry mojito and it was one of the best I've ever had! Well done. We shared the onion ring app and it was good. Next time we'll try the... More

Second visit in as many visits to Boone...have to say we'll be back next time we are in town. The atmosphere is very inviting...and a deck is in construction to expand the venue. The food is delightful! If you are looking for cheap eats and bulk, this is not your place. If you are looking for quality to delight the... More

Ordered a glass of average type California wine and was charged $12.00. The bad part was that the wine was spoiled. No effort on their part to correct. They even lied about pouring from a newly opened bottle. Decided not to have dinner because of this.

My husband and I had a great meal here. The service and food were excellent. We ordered the rib special and loved it. This is one of our favorite places to eat when we visit Boone.

Vidalia is one the best restaurants in the High Country of Watauga County, North Carolina. The creativity and flavors of the food are excellent....but the portions are very small for what I would consider a rather high price point for a college town. We started off with the salad of the day: a variation on the caprese salad....the flavors were... More

This was our favorite spot that we tried in Boone. Menu was so appealing that even after sampling a couple of appetizers and a couple of entrees, we left talking about what we'd like to try next time. Everything we had was notable. Special recognition, though, to the chicken and dumplings, which we tried on the recommendation of our server.... More
