Always love going to Black Cat when we're in Boone. I usually opt for nachos with black beans, guacamole, sour cream, and tomatillo salsa and am never disappointed. Haven't tried their beer but they have a pretty extensive list.

My wife and daughter and I stopped in for an afternoon snack. We had the Ragin Cajun burrito along with a guacamole and chips. It was good. We really enjoyed it.

It's been 15 years since I was last here. In some sense, lots have changed. Instead of eating here with roommates and college friends, I'm here with my wife and kids. Instead of eating anything I want, I have to watch my waistline. But the food is what I remember. They still have my favorite burrito, and it is still... More

We had lunch at Black Cat today and they had the best fish tacos I have ever had! It was funny to eat better fish tacos in the mountains than the beach! My husband had nachos with chicken and they were delicious too! I can't wait to go back the next time we go to Boone!

We were driving into Boone and looking for a good Mexican restaurant to eat that was located in Boone near or off of King Street....FOUND IT! Black Cat had good reviews online so we gave it a go. Found it very easy, liked the simple walk-in-and-order...food came quick and plates were HUGE! It's in a cool little location and our... More

We recently stopped in to Blackcat Burrito for a quick lunch. Service was very friendly and accommodating, it is wheelchair accessible, and the food was fantastic. If you want something fun, good spot on, this is your place.

So, this was my third visit , I had a great burrito, and two funky brews. It always goes good together. Well prepared, and served by a college staff. Don't expect much service .that is not to say that the staff isn't friendly or professional ,v they are. So order, sit and wait in the basement of an old downtown... More

It's just a little hole in the wall restaurant/bar and nothing fancy at all. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. There was one guy taking orders, cleaning tables, and delivering the food...he was awesome and very friendly. Our food was so delicious! I got the Satay It To Me Softly Burrito with tofu and... Good music, great beer selection, and they gave our 2 year old a free quesadilla. The food is tasty and you will get full... Great fish tacos and excellent slaw and guacamole. Not as good as Flaming Amy's in Wilmington but then again, what can match that? We will come again!

My husband and I go here so often when we're in Boone we rarely get a chance to try anything else. We love Black Cat, best burritos in NC.
