Fries are amazing!

Stopped in for burgers and a beer. The fries were some of the best I've had - seasoned well, crunchy outside and super soft inside. My burger was good, however it had an egg on it which is usually runny and this one was totally cooked which I don't prefer. Got a great gose and ended up having two pints it was so good. We wanted to order their only dessert on the menu but they said they didn't have it :-(

Great Selection of Craft Beer

Great selection of craft beers served by a fantastic group of employees. We had a huge plate of nachos and enjoyed IPAs and some good dark porters and stouts.

Needs a good deep cleaning

They still have a great burger and brews, honestly guys, you need a good cleaning, inside and out. Floor corners were filty. I realize it's a college hangout and I'm 50 years older than your average customer but take a little pride in your place.

POOR WAITSTAFT

We would not recommend this place the waitstaff is very slow so much so we got up and left and they did not even notice. We did not receive our order

Handicap entrance with ramp is in the back

Staff was helpful. We had BLT's and broccoli salad. In my opinion, the BLT was a bit greasy. The other sandwiches that were coming out were HUGE!

Excellent Burger in Boone, NC

Found this "tapp" room heading out of town, after a weekend in Blowing Rock. So glad that we did! The burgers were absolutely wonderful. My wife, who does not usually eat hamburgers, had one as well and LOVED it. In addition - some excellent beer choices / as it is a tap house. Lost of local choices and some traditional choices as well. Had a really "cheap" offering of Coors Banquet Beer, which you NEVER find on tap around my home. Only $2 - crazy! Worth the stop! *Plus lots of TVs for some good sports watching!

Great burgers ~ Give it a try!

You’re in a college town so expect that for the atmosphere. It’s loud yet has a good vibe to it! The burgers were actually really good! Parking can be a little tricky yet that’s expected in Boone. If you’re in the area, I would give it a try...the students at AppState are awesome!

My Kinda Place

We're back in the area for the summer and one of our first stops was the TApp Room. We were pleasantly surprised. NOTHING CHANGED. The Manager greeted us like old friends, the food was good, the fries were plenty and the beer was cold. Very casual place across from Appalachian State University. The servers have all been college age and friendly even though we could be their grandparents. LOL.

The Bar-B-Que Tacos are Amazing

This is one of our favorite places. The food is really good, especially the bar-b-que tacos! Lots of TV's and a good bar and good place to hang out.

Decent Bar Food & Good Beer

They had a decent assortment of ciders and beer. We also had lunch and enjoyed a football game with locals. Be careful on the flooring when wet. It gets very slippery.

Must see when in Boone

Tapp Room is most certainly where all the locals (college kids) go to get there kicks. This place is lively and a great people watching spot. You can get great eats here too! Tacos, burgers, sandwiches, and don't forget, every brew you've every wanted to try!

College Town Beer & Burgers

When in Boone and you want a cold beer, a good burger or wrap, and a view of ESPN on a nearby TV -- Tapp Room is the place. On weekend nights it jams with college students and young locals, and on football game days they're slammed. But otherwise it's usually a quick seating. Nothing fancy and sometimes the wait staff is a little bleary-eyed on the early shift, but it's a quintessential college joint. Good rotating craft beer selection. Beware that parking is very limited.

Convenient and Good Food

I visited before a Saturday game. They have a good beer selection and the food was inexpensive and good. The service was marginal at best. I sat at the bar for a good ten minutes with a girl standing right in front of me. I kept trying to hand her my ID to no avail. Once I got service it was good and consistent.

Great burgers and brew

We go to the Tapp Room whenever we are in the mood for a good burger and have never been disappointed. A big burger with lettuce, tomato and onion, grilled the way you want it and a load of great fries for $6.00 is a deal to me. Large selection of beers on tap and a full bar. Employees are mostly students from Appalachian State across the street and have always been friendly and professional. Parking is a little tight and it is a very casual place with several TVs. I can imagine it is really popular during football game days.
