This restaurant is eponymous with the idea of Boone. It is a conglomerate of international influence with a mountain aesthetic infused into the decor and cuisine. The prices are what's expected on King st. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the food offered. This is a great place to bring family, especially for groups where everybody wants something... More

Stopped by the Hob Nob Farm Cafe on our way thru Boone - what an ethnic food delight with mouth-watering flavors. The cafe is organic in its foods and using preparations of its own farm and locally sourced farmers. We sampled the Mariposa enchilada and the Durango burrito - an explosion of flavors in each. The cafe has a delightful... More

Food was excellent and quite unique. Lots of fresh ingredients. Not the place to go if you're a picky eater though as you won't fully appreciate the unique blends of spices and ingredients used. Service was fine. You can sit outdoors on the patio and overlook the main street running through App State area of Boone.

My first visit to Hob Nob in Boone, NC. In the heart of Appalachian State University, it was packed on Saturday, but somehow we managed to get a table in 15 minutes! The menu is very diverse and the food was extremely fresh and fantastic! We sat outside and our waitress was great! This is our new favorite place, can't... More

Our expectations were high given the spirit of the place and the plethora of local foodstuffs. Our food was great, not outstanding. The fruit and cheese plate was fantastic. Kale salad side was very good, though not outstanding. Chang Mai bowl was very good. The selection of beer was the usual suspects for the town of Boone. My wife's house... More

This is a nice little cafe right on the main drag in Boone. The parking is very tight and it can be tricky getting back out if you have a larger vehicle. I think this restaurant is more accessible if you could find a lot or space nearby. When we were eating at the restaurant, in their outside patio area,... More

Lunch on a Friday afternoon for three of us. Wait staff was really good in guiding us through the menu. I will admit, this place was slammed - move-in weekend at AppState. But, the food was worth the wait. I had a cubano sandwich that was originally made with pulled pork and ghost pepper cheese. I'm not a big fan... More

This is the food you are trying to find to break out of the rut of the regular. Creative dishes full of wonderfully complex flavors. Read their menu online, check out the ingredients and it becomes clear your in for a treat. Sometimes takes a while to get your meal but worth the wait. Want to enjoy a restaurant that... More

The bacon wrapped meatloaf is incredible. Really hungry? Try the enchiladas. We were in town for only four days and ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. The service is great and the back patio is where you want to dine. Service is great and friendly.

Clean, healthy food never tastes this good. Creative, spicy or not, vegan or meat lovers, all will like this food. Service was suspect, but it was busy, and the staff was friendly. I would gives this an UNCONDITIONAL THUMBS UP
