We had breakfast here on the patio in July 2021 while waiting for the King Street stores to open. Both of us ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese, accompanied by fresh-squeezed orange juice. Frankly, the bagels and cream cheese were just average. We enjoyed them, but, by themselves, they weren't enough to warrant praise. The star of the show was the expensive fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Time passed amiably on the patio. We were satisfied, and the stores did open on schedule. We would visit again, but I doubt we would make a special trip to do it.

Comfortable local breakfast and lunch cafe. Decor and ambiance do not exist here. Service was done well. My breakfast bagel - ham, cheese and egg was tasty but not a wow dish . Wife's breakfast platter also deemed OK

I've heard rave reviews of the Boone Bagelry for years (mostly from ASU graduates) and our family wanted to give it a try, finally. We visited in October 2021 and although the entire town was still keen on wearing face diapers, we didn't and no one said anything, thank goodness. I ordered a breakfast bagel and a coffee. My husband had coffee and something for breakfast and we got a meal for the kids to share. Goodness, I wanted to love it, but it was just mediocre. I'm sure for college kids, this is THE SPOT, but it didn't do much of anything for me!

Please please please get a more professional manager than Aleisha(not sure on the spelling). After sending out a $60 order that we get when in town, they sent out a cold bagel with no butter. No problem at all, let’s just fix it. The manager, Aleisha took the cold bagel and proceeded to spread cold butter on it. She said it was fine. I got out to the car and came back in to ask for a new one bc well, look at the picture. She then stated that was how she did it and it was fine. Then I heard her walk away and start talking to the gentlemen in the kitchen making bagels about how ridiculous it is that a customer would want their order correct. Weird. Sincerely, a restaurant manager in a busy tourist town who thrives on customer service and making sure employees of mine do the same. I figured leaving a review would possibly reach the owners, because when asked any questions, Aleisha was very rude. Please please do better so we don’t have to not return.
Oh and to “get us back” for wanting what we ordered, they put about a pound of butter on the new one. Real cute Aleisha. She smiled and laughed when she handed to us.

Hi Brittany, I sincerely apologize if I offended you. I was taken off guard when you were so upset over the bagel. When your husband came back in and wanted more butter I thought no problem but since there was a bite taken out I couldn’t retoast it or use the more melted butter in the kitchen. So I spread it myself with gloves (with a disposable knife and an individual side of butter) on for contamination reasons. He actually thanked us and apologized for handing us a bagel with a bite taken out of it. I was in no way trying to be rude. I was however offended by how you spoke to me when you came back in and agree that I could have handled it better. As for being “cute”- I wasn’t trying to be cute. I am a grown woman who has helped run this restaurant with my husband and the owners for the last several years. I asked the new cook to make sure the bagel was hot and to this time make sure he put enough butter on it- to make sure he put it on the top as well. I wasn’t trying to be funny with the amount we put on and I certainly didn’t laugh when I passed out your bagel. I didn’t find the situation funny in anyway whatsoever actually but I am sorry again for offending you. This has most certainly ruined my day as well but I’m hoping we can agree to move on. I hope you all have a great time in Boone and will return. We should all work to be better to each other. Best wishes, Elisha

Food was good but I’m very displeased with how my friends were treated. We are out of town on a bachelorette trip and one of our friends is with child and unfortunately has been very sick. They got chick fila because that is the only thing she can keep down. They made her and one of our other friends sit outside due to them having water in a chick fil a cup.. damn is it that deep? I understand if they weren’t purchasing anything but there is 16 of us that were. They went outside no problem to sit and then they got kicked out of the outside seating as well. No one was outside and they weren’t bothering anyone?? Our pregnant friend had to go sit on the CURB?? Absolutely not. On a side note my chocolate milk was warm and half full and I got charged full price for it. I love chocolate milk and I love my friends and this was just not a great experience.

We stopped in for breakfast, and got some bagels toasted with different types of cream cheese. While the line was moving slow, I found that to be due to customers in front of me not knowing what they wanted. There was only one register, but the staff worked quickly to make sure orders got out quickly. Due to COVID-19, there was an outdoor waiting area, and the staff came out to bring the orders. The bagels were fresh and had great flavor. The prices were also reasonable, especially for a business in downtown. Next time I’m in Boone, I’ll stop back to try something else!

We've been visiting the area for decades and actually had always passed this bagel store and never stopped. This time we did, and were we glad! The bagels were hot and delicious. The customer service was quick and excellent for our carry out bagels. We won't miss your driveway again!

It never stops raining in Boone, but for great food go here. I had a Rueben, mates had bagels, blts or omelettes. The food was so good we forgot that we were sitting in the rain and cold amidst the COVID. Definitely awesome.

We really enjoyed visiting this bagel shop. They have great bagel breakfast sandwiches but the coffee was just so-so. It can get crowded being close to the college and parking is limited so keep that in mind. A nice place to stop when exploring the town.

I have eaten here before, and was not disappointed with my recent visit. We ate here two mornings. I was pleased with both meals.
In terms of COVID, masks are required and social distancing is observed. There is currently no indoor seating and there are a few tables outside.
I will definitely eat here again.

This is the best place to come if you you want to spend a small fortune on terrible food and have to wait 15 min to get a bagel with cream cheese to go while rude college kids run this place. Save your money.

Excellent fresh cooked bagels with generous toppings! I had to take some of the cream cheese off the bagel because they were so generous last time! The coffee is fantastic too!

After traveling out of our way to visit Boone during our first road trip in a year, we were astounded to discover that the city's dictator-in-chief recently opted to reestablish a mask mandate indoors within the city limits - no exceptions. You must wear a mask into a restaurant before removing it to eat. Brilliant. Boone is the only city in the entire southeast where we encountered renewed insanity to such an extent on this trip. We spent an hour hunting for outdoor restaurant seating, which is almost nonexistent. Finally we noticed people eating outside at Boone Bagelry and pulled in.
The cafe is kind of a fast food bagel/breakfast place that also serves lunch. The indoor mask mandate applies here, and customers must order inside - no table service. Meanwhile, we don't own masks and the cafe doesn't provide them. My husband stuck his head inside the door, and fortunately one of the employees had a compassionate heart to accompany an efficiently functioning brain. She allowed Hubby to order without wearing a mask, jeopardizing the welfare of the entire population of Boone.
Food was served in a styrofoam to-go box. We both ordered omelets with home fries and toast. The food was inexpensive and unremarkable. Ambiance is college-dive, and the patrons appeared to be all college students. We would not have chosen to dine here had we not been half-starved with no other viable options.
