If you eat at Papa Joe's you should probably stick with the Italian dishes. I wanted a vegetable plate and everything tasted canned or frozen including the biscuit. My son's sirloin was burned on the outside and uncooked inside. The chicken sandwich was tough. The steak fries were very good. Wouldn't waste my time or money here again.

Papa Joe's is fantastic. Wonderful food - especially the pizza. Much better than Mellow Mushroom (downtown Blowing Rock) and far less crowded. This is a true local spot. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are all excellent.

After a long day's drive from Eastern NC and checking out the Blowing Rock and Boone area historic districts. We just wanted to kick back and relax. So after resting a bit, we just walked a little right to Papa Joe's. Quaint little Italian restaurant with great service, and a pleasant hostess. We had some fried calamari too start and... More

Fresh hand tossed pizza and good service. A good place to stop after a day of hiking. The service was fast and the food was delicious. Good spot to bring kids

I should have known better when there was hardly anyone there on a Friday night. I truly can't express how horrible this place is. I do not know how they are in business or how Cindy the Waitress/manager has a job. The service is poor. The place is very run down. And now for the food. Unbelievably terrible. The chicken... More

Papa Joe puts his love of Italian in his food. My favorite pizza in town and reasonably priced. Relaxing atmosphere. A good place for groups or on your own.

Great food and service. Lasagna was wonderful. Warm inviting dining room. Will be back for sure. Easy to find right on 321 in Blowing Rock.

We decided to eat here in spite of the reviews some good and some bad. Waitress was not overly friendly except to the locals that came in. We had a philly cheese steak and burger. Nothing special to write home about. Maybe their pizza is their specialty. Don't care to go back.

The server Cindy or the boss as she claimed to be was very rude and condescending, the food is average, pasta plate $15. I'd rather go down the road a couple miles to Bellas in Boone where they have much better Italian food and Amazing Service. This this restaurant needs some help.
