To start try the Soups! When you think UK soups you think of heavy starchy things like a stew of leftovers. We frequent Boone and Blowing Rock often and have found the Six Pence soups wonderful. Once we had a tomato bisque that was smooth and excellent but totally impossible for me to tell you the complex yet balanced flavors.... More

The pub was packed but we managed to be seated inside quickly. Our waitress was very attentive and helped us decide on meals. My husband really enjoyed the Shepard's Pie and our daughter's boyfriend said the Fish and Chips were great. His grapefruit flavored beer was thirst quenching too. My daughter and I enjoyed our half roast beef sandwiches and... More

During my stay in Blowing Rock I went there 3 times. Each time food and service were excellent. I would definitely go back.

My family of five stopped in for dinner and were seated and served quickly. we were all very impressed with the quality of their food. The shepherds pie, tomato bisque, Mac and cheese bites and pot roast were big hits. The fish and chips were large portions but average quality. We all agreed that we will be back again!

My wife and I were looking for an early lunch (11am) on a Sunday in July in Blowing Rock. We were seated immediately, with our choice of inside or out. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. She recommended the fish and chips and the Reuben. My wife got the fish and chips, but I chose the Shepherd's Pie. Both... More

Every time I visit my niece, we true to have lunch here. We were not disappointed ! We sat on the patio with her two little girls. Her 2 1/2 year old loved the patio because she was able to see the people walking by. We started off with fried pickles and they were very tasty. My niece had the... More

Nearly a gastropub. I nearly got the fish and chips but decided on the bangers and mash--not disappointing at all. Chef apparently really loves gravy cause its good gravy! The beer garden is wonderful--one of the top outdoor eats in Blowing Rock. The only thing they could think to add is some cask ales. I've had a tough time getting... More

Sat on the patio on a Saturday evening. Service was great and nice location downtown. My burger done medium with sweet potato fries was great as was our salmon and fish & chips. Two in our party had the pork chops and both found them overdone. Our waitress apologized and said the cooking staff has been a bit inconsistent. Overall... More

Our son loves the shepherd's pie. The fish and chips is excellent. The salmon entree is great too. Interesting selection of beers. Good service. Indoor pub atmosphere. Outdoor seating on the main drag of Blowing Rock.

From the time we were greeted and seated outside, we felt like we had chosen the right place to eat. Our waitress (Hailey) was amazing and funny and informative. Cannot say enough about the appetizers-especially the loaded fries, beer variety was great; tastes were great, desserts were delicious. We would recommend anything on the menu and even though they were... More
