First of all I have a food allergy that this establishment took serious aand made sure what I ordered was not going to trigger that allergy. The food was delicious.

We had only done takeout prior and dined outside as it was so pretty. We had exceptional wait staff. Had the small fish snd chips and added a side of slaw. Hubby had Shepard’s pie. All were quite tasty and had extra fish and chips...to take home. A lovely laid back casual atmosphere. If you like beers there are many to choose from.More

Good food, good service, fair pricing. I had the pot roast, my wife had the Shepherd's pie. We were both pleased by our tasty dinners.

Clean, good service by waitress. Slow in getting food although wasn’t crowded. Small so a table of 8 close to us very noisy. The two of us each had ice tea, 1/2 sandwich cup of soup, and bill was $40 not including the tip! Wheat...bread on sandwiches was very dry. Soups were good.More

The Six Pence has become a regular eating spot for me, and my family too. You have to go there on the right days and at the right times because it's popular. It's a pretty nice American version of an Irish pub with all the...decor and distillery mirrors, along with flags and more that adorn the walls. The wait staff are always very friendly and they pay attention to your needs. The food? Good pub grub prepared right. The typical Fish and Chips and Bangers and Mash are excellent, and my daughter swears that the French Onion Soup is the best in town. There's also plenty of beers and ales for the beer drinkers out there. If you're in Blowing Rock and you get tired after all the walking in and out of galleries and cute little stores and you feel hungry, give it a shot. It's more than worth it.More

My family enjoyed the different things we tried here. My husband loved the fish and chips. I liked the crab cakes and sides, and my son thought the burger was great. They had many authentic options that looked good, and it was a nice place...to stop in and try. I highly recommend it!More

Great authentic British Pub nestled on the Main Street in Blowing Rock. Small and quaint, but tables were socially distanced, with bar and outdoor seating was available as well. We highly recommend the Bangers and Mash (cumberland sausages with mashed potatoes & brown gravy) and...the Reuben sandwich. The vegetable of the day was perfectly seasoned and sautéed zucchini. Fried pickles were a treat as well. Highly recommended!More

Truly enjoyed this bar. My wife and I visited twice while in Blowing Rock and the service and conversations were great. Met a few locals who told me if several places to see before I left that I wouldn't have otherwise know about.

I was disappointed our family of 5 was seated in the bar with so many people at the bar. I would of rather been told we needed to wait for another table so staying 6 ft. away from others would have been easier. The food...was fine.More

Excellent Service by Katherine, COVID measures followed and Delicious Food! The Shepherd's/Cottage Pie, Gouda Burger and Fish and Chips are some of the best food I have ever had. Homemade Ranch and Tarter sauce take it to another level. It is a little pricey but...worth it to me.More
