One of Blowing Rock's most popular restaurants, Bistro Roca serves inventive American Bistro cuisine from Chef Seth Parker in a rustic yet elegant setting. Bistro Roca's superb staff combines efficient service with gracious hospitality and will delight you with a great selection of wines and mixed drinks from Antlers Bar
We wanted to treat ourselves to a good Take-out meal on New Years Eve. We havent been inside a restaurant since COVID began, but still wanted to support a local restaurant, instead of cooking. Bistro Roca is an upscale restaurant so we were surprised at...the poor wrapping of our meal - not even any foil to keep the meager contents warm. We had to rewarm the food even though we only live 10 minutes away from the restaurant. Considering how you pay the same price for takepout as in-dining, the whole presentation was almost an insult - no salad, no rolls. But of course the worst part was the lackluster and tasteless Osso Bucco. I LOVE Osso Buco; one rarely sees it on a menu and I have cooked it myself. It is one of the more expensive items on the menu, but worth it if it is prepared well. It is supposed to be cooked in a very savory sauce and served with this sauce. There was no sauce, just some fairly tasteless meat on a bone with some rice with a few peas. Where was the advertised "smoked tomato ragout" and "Crispy Garlic Gremolata." Bistro Roca is over-priced and hyped up as the local's "in place." Don't waste your money on take-out from here. Support another local place instead.More
Can’t even give the restaurant a review on food because we decided not to even go. We were looking at Bistro Roca for our after wedding dinner in November. I emailed several weeks prior to inquire about a reservation for dinner. No response. I sent...another email, and again, no response. A week later, I decided that a phone call may be better. I called and spoke with someone, told them what we were looking for, and she said that a manager would definitely get back with me this time. Big surprise, not one return phone call. Luckily, we were able to make reservations at another local restaurant where we had an excellent meal, and were treated like they were pleased to have our business. So, we will not even bother to attempt give this place another try in the future since they appear to not want our business enough to even correspond back with us.More
The wood fired pizza was great, got the fungi one as an app and it was the best part of the meal. Cozy setting and excellent service. Crab cake sandwich was amazing and we were celebrating a bday and they fixed us up with one...of their delicious deserts on them. REally enjoyable dinner in Blowing Rock.More
This was our57th wedding anniversary so I wanted to plan something special. Actually I had made reservations at another restaurant, but received a call earlier in the day that because of a positive COVID test they had to cancel all reservations . I quickly went to...my second choice , Bistro Roca and it was a great decision. We were seated shortly after arriving and our serverMadelynn was right there to assist us.
My wife had the salmon and I had the crab cakes both of which were cooked to perfection. The service could not have been any better. Our only disappointment was after they heard this was our anniversary they offered us a free dessert so we chose the cheesecake. It had sliced strawberries on top which had turned brown and the cheesecake was dry and no taste. Other than that it was a great eveningMore
We are on vacation from south Florida, just arrived last night. We had 3;45 reservations. We got seated promptly. However, 20 minutes went by and not one person came by to take our drink order or to even say "hi, I'll be with you shortly...". They were not busy, in fact hardly anyone was there, I know why now. Do not reward this restaurant for bad behavior when there are so many other options. Spend your hard earned money somewhere elseMore
Terrible service, waited 20 min no service. We walked out, their reply was oh where were you sitting, I am sorry. Terrible will never go back, they never even came to our table. Never even acknowledged we were there after we were sitted.would love to...make this a 0 rating.More

I'm not certain about the ADA entrance. The front entrance requires you to transcend steps, but I think they have a wheelchair entrance on the side, but just not 100% sure. I'm sure they could answer if called.
