My wife and I has a bite to eat for dinner at the Black Mountain Bistro. The food was good and the service a little sultry, like the hot early evening- slow, but personable. I had their Lemon Trout dinner and she had a Bistro Club sandwich; everything tasted great and was a reasonable value.

We had been driving for two days to get here so we were looking for a relaxing meal. Drove around a bit and settled on Black Mountain Bistro. We were seated in the patio and I ordered a cocktail with all kinds of berries in it. Very good. I had the baked chicken with wild rice and sauteed vegetables. The... More

Ate there twice and very happy. Food was good and large portions more than we could eat. Desserts were the best.

This bistro has a nice atmosphere, and good waitstaff. In our group of 4, three ordered the turkey dinner, and I ordered the meatloaf dinner. They were happy with their meal, and I was not. The meat loaf was quite dense and kind of tasteless, and the mashed potatoes were dry. My family would give the restaurant 4-stars, but I'm... More

This restaurant is in an old house and has very nice atmosphere. The menu had a nice variety. My husband ordered the turkey and dressing. He didn't love the dressing but thought the turkey was great. It was moist and he got a large portion. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and thought it was very good. A very good... More

We've had dinner here in the past, though not recently. Stopped in for lunch this week while traveling back through the area. Lunch was very good. We didn't order anything exotic (club sandwich and a Philly), but it was delicious. Large portions - the table next to us even shared their order of fried mushrooms! Service was very good. Seating... Outdoor lunch on a mid-summer day when the weather was warm, light breeze. We dined on their sandwich fare and were not disappointed. Service was attentive, food met our expectations. Super location. Would definitely return

Food was very out of the bag, off the shelf. Salad had no imagination and average presentation. The spinach dip looked like slimy leaves had been stirred into mayo and was absolutely disgusting. The shrimp and grits - we are in the south people- barely resembled shrimp and grits. No lamb or interesting farm to table options. Server was disinterested... More

I am sorry you did not enjoy your dining experience with us. Our spinach dip and our shrimp and grits are favorites among our guest. We use fresh local spinach with cream cheese, parmesan, and cream in our spinach dip no mayo. The shrimp and grits are our take on a traditional southern dish. We have never had a complaint... More

Great lunch menu and outstanding service. I'll be back for another burger. The seafood chowder was awesome! The outdoor porch was very inviting and while dining you can see the mountains. Great dessert menu too!
