Wife and I had dinner at the Black Mountain Bistro twice this week. The fried mushroom appetizer brought us back. Best either of us have ever had. I had the shrimp and grits which was outstanding. The grits were baked to perfection and the shrimp were large and plentiful with a spicy sauce and crumbled blue cheese. My wife had... More

The Bistro is our favorite place to take visitors. The setting is lovely. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food is great, with the Hickory Nut Gap burgers, grouper Reuben, and fried green tomato BLT among our frequent selections. The coconut cake is absolutely amazing. We frequently order it as we order the entree. It is very popular.

Would eat here again and again! We had lunch outside in the courtyard in the warm sun. Heavenly. Coffee was excellent. Our server was very good and very attentive. Sorry I don't recall his name. We chose this eatery because we had our tiny puppy with us and needed to stay outside. What a lucky find! I had the grouper... More

Attended an after wedding party on the patio. Beautiful spot for a group of 25! It was fun to watch people walk by and be part of the black mountain downtown scene. Food is great here, and prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this place!

We ate dinner on the patio and for the most part enjoyed our food and the setting. We arrived for an early dinner around 5pm on a Thursday and were the first people seated out on the upper patio. Our waitress was friendly and answered our questions about some of the items on the menu. She mentioned that the pork... More

My husband and I had lunch here, this past Friday, on their enclosed porch area. The atmosphere was very relaxing and our waitress was so attentive. Our lunch, which consisted of Crab Cake appetizer and sandwiches, was delicious. Definitely a must try!!

this was a fun experience in outdoor dining. The menu at this place is good (not particularly cheap). I had the ribeye...it was delicious. Malbec was good, too...we were surprised that when at first a Rose Malbec came out. This was quickly corrected. Our waiter, Caleb, did a good job....nice kid.

This was our second visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent! Our table was on the deck and the mountain view was spectacular.
