On a holiday trip and got rained out in Asheville, we found refuge in the cozy atmosphere at the Black Mountain Ale House. Great service and food! The Honey Sriracha wings and the fish & chips are a must!

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here last night and had a great experience. The atmosphere is great, with lovely local landscape art covering the bare brick walls. One thing to note is that the menu on TripAdvisor is a little out of date. My husband saw a "smokehouse burger" listed on the menu here, and had his heart set... More

Stop at Blacks Mtn. to walk the shops. Stopped @ Black Mtn. Ale House for lunch. Service was great food very good and milk stout was very good. Will definitely stop there again. We always like stopping @ Black Mtn. to checkout the shops. Great little town. Highly recommended checking out the town and this establishment.

This used to be our favorite place to come and grab a bite to eat however things have changed completely. We just got back into town after being gone for 3 months and decided to give it another try. BIG MISTAKE, the bartender Chris has the worst personality & customer service I have ever seen. He barely looked in our... More

Stopped by for late lunch after hiking at Montreat. After getting a beer, sitting at the bar, it took several attempts to get someone to take my lunch order. When food was finally served, the roast pork was very dry with little taste. Won't be back.

Our favorite place in Black Mountain was closed so we decided to try this place. Atmosphere nice. We could talk and be heard. I had the fried green tomatoes which were delicious. My husband had a mountain high turkey club. Very good. My sister in law enjoyed the crab quesadilla. The beer selection was good, they were out of many... More

After dark on a warm evening stopped in for dinner. Live bluegrass music and a great meal. Very nice to sit outside where we could still hear the music and carry on a conversation.

We visit Black Mountain several times a year and the Black Mountain Ale House is always a go-to. This time I took my sweet mom to the mountains to see the leaves and for a good get-away. We enjoyed a awesome early dinner on the patio with a bottle of wine. We both got grilled chicken sandwiches and enjoyed every... More

This restaurant was a stop on the Creative Mountain Food Tour. We only got to try the wings (several variations) and some beer. I'm not much for beer (my husband liked his), but the wings were so delicious I can hardly wait to go back and try a few more dishes. Next time, we'll take the dogs and sit outside.

I brought my daughter to Black Mountain to get her away from the hustle and bustle of city life, she's 25, and normally likes that but, she thoroughly enjoyed Black Mt. ALOT! Ironically, she chose the same place that I had chosen months earlier. :-) We had to wait a few minutes for a table because they were quite busy... More
