Trivia Night, lots of fun, good questions. Good choice of local craft beers, as well as the usual bottled stuff from outside the area. We ordered the Special of the Night tacos. Very good. Wait staff helpful, friendly, attendant. Think his name was Nick. We chose to eat outside and were very comfortable.

We have been to the Black Mountain Ale House several times. Usually we sit at the bar for drinks and maybe bar snacks/food. This time we dined on their patio and had a regular dinner. The food was very good and better than just having bar food. Our waiter was friendly and had good suggestions for dinner and beers. Enjoyed... More

Friendly staff. Bar quality food. Great for watching a game on one of the multiple tvs, appetizers and drinks.

The food here was to die for! I really didn't expect amazing food from an ale house, but holy moly! It was more than amazing! I had the pork chop and I'm not sure how any other pork chop will ever live up to it. My hubby had the chicken sandwich and raved about the seasoning on the chicken.

We found this place almost by accident..But what a pleasant surprise! We wanted just an appetizer and a couple of drinks..I had the mojito which was just as good as any I've ever had! Katie, our server, was fun and energetic! What a great place..Try it while in Black Mountain!

It was Sunday in Black Mountain...even at 2PM...every restaurant was on a wait. We got seated right-away at the Ale House. They didn't have very much indoor seating to accommodate out toddler but that gave us a chance to sit outside. The mountain view from the patio was great. The food and service were good.

My husband and I chose this restaurant based on an advertisement, and we were very pleased with everything. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the absolutely gorgeous evening. I had the small meal "Shrimp Tacos" and they were delicious! Very fresh and flavorful. My husband enjoyed the Crab Quesadilla. The atmosphere was fun, relaxing, and casual.

We stopped in for lunch with our two kids, the staff was very accommodating and kind. However, there were no baby changing tables in the bathrooms. It was a bit pricey and there were things on the online menu that were not available or had been changed/removed from the menu. They had nice TV screens and a good beer selection.

The prices here have been going up and up on all menu items. Wings special on Wednesdays is now $7 for 8 wings. That's about 90 cents each if you do the math. Most places have wings cheaper any day of the week. At $5 or $6 per glass of beer you'll be robbed here. Mixed drinks are nothing to... More
