We were looking for a good steak but ours were just not what we would consider ‘good’ and definitely not worth the cost. Sirloin was tough. Dessert was not good. We won’t be returning.

We have order take out twice in the last month and both time we gave them a time we would be there to pick up and both times I arrived early and both time our food was sitting out on the bar cold The guy...that is behind the bar acts like its no problem When you spend over $70 for take out food you would expect the food to be warm at least when you pick it upMore
Hi Steve, Thanks for your feedback, again. As I mentioned in my email that I sent you yesterday - on a busy Saturday night it’s nearly impossible for us to target the exact time you dictate that you want your food to be ready. That’s...More
Brought a friend here for lunch on Saturday and he was surprised at the food and service. I had not been here for awhile although I have brought several friends here over the years. The crab cake appetizer is a great way to start the...meal!More
From the moment I was warmly greeted by the hostess, through every course of a wonderful dinner, the experience was exceptional. Truly a gem that I'll revisit each time my business travels bring me anywhere near Belmont.
Go often to this little gem in downtown Belmont . Menu is varied but steaks and seafood are a must . Service is always good and their 23 oz bone in rib eye is the bomb
Old Stone has the best food in town. It’s perfect for a date night, couples dinner, girls night, family’s and so on. There isn’t anything on the menu that I have had that I did not like.
Ordered a Steak at a “Steak House” and thought I would actually get a good piece of meat. It was cooked medium rAre to medium, which I ordered, but it tasted horrible. The meat had a really tough bite to it. If I wanted a...cheap steak, I’d go to a chain restaurant but I had heard so many good things about this place and was very dissatisfied. I won’t return.More
Hi Matthew, My name is Matt and I run Old Stone. I’m sorry you weren’t happy with your cut. We all USDA Prime loins and cut them in house so you definitely didn’t have a cheap cut. It’s possible your cut was unusually tough as...More
20+ hungry, thirsty business guys on the patio after a long day of meetings and every single guy in the group absolutely LOVED this place (we even tried to go back on the third night of our trip, it was THAT good)! From the service,...to the appetizers, to the meals, not one bad thing to say. When the worst thing you can think of is that it got a little warm from the overhead heaters (40 something outside) before they could turn them down, then this is a place to visit over and over and over again! Specifics...10 oz Ribeye done PERFECTLY MEDIUM as requested. Seriously, I eat a lot of steak and I don't ever remember having a better one...Whew, what flavor! I had the wedge salad (very well done) and the biggest asparagus I have EVER seen. This made me nervous because I auto thought "tough and stringy, here we come" and boy was I wrong. Tender and perfectly cooked...I couldn't believe the flavor! Wish I had room for desert because they looked HEAVENLY, but after (I know this sounds weird and you won't believe me, but) the best sweet potato I have ever had, I had NO room for desert. And if you love sweet potatoes like I do, but are constantly disappointed by the dried up, foil wrapped versions you usually get, then try this one and tell me if I'm wrong (and I had it plain)! I cannot wait to go back to Charlotte (not really, but I WOULD, just to visit this restaurant)!More
Good food in a nice atmosphere. The Prime Rib was delicious and the salads were crisp and fresh. The service was friendly but could take a while towards the end of the meal. I'd come back again but try to keep a higher visibility so...we aren't forgotten.More
We've been here several times and only once had a pleasant experience. I've learned my lesson. Two of the ribeye steaks were full of fat and tough, Beef tips over girts were almost cold, and the crab cakes were room temperature. Even when the grits...were sent back to be warmed up, the meat came back warmer, but the grits still lukewarm. These just were not $25 dollar plates of food. The salads were great, what harm can you do to a wedge of iceberg lettuce? The waiter seemed to be rushed to get our order, but forgot about us when it was time to collect the money. Next time I'll go next door to Sammy's Pub for a better and cheaper meal. Too many steak houses in the area to be eating here.More
