Food I'd wonderful. Steve is the best and so is Amanda the bartender. The view is spectacular and their Sunday night concerts are great. Recommend it to anyone coming to Beech Mountain.

We had a really good meal on their outdoor patio with lovely views. Crab cakes very good. Steak was cooked to perfection. Service was very good. Staff very friendly.

While our meals weren't inexpensive , they definitely were so wonderful!! My husband and I shared the meal of pecan crusted trout. It was SO good. We have enjoyed the Alpen Inn many times in the past, and on almost every visit we get the pecan crusted trout as it definitely is our favorite. My sister had the shrimp scampi... More

My fiance and I were looking for a nice dinner after I finally popped the question, so we pulled in here after passing it countless times. There was only one table eating at 7pm on a Saturday night, so that was odd...but much to our surprise the food was fantastic. I had fish, grouper I believe, and she had a... More

We came during the middle of the week in bad weather. We were obviously the first customers of the day and has to wait a few minutes before the hostess noticed us and seated us. Once seated the service was friendly and fast. The food was very tasty but we were not impressed with the wine selection. To top it... More

This place is overrated and very snooty. Don't waste your time if your looking for a nice place for a meal with friends. Seem they cater mostly to locals. Which is odd as it is connected to an inn. We stood at the entrance like fools waiting for a hostess to seat us. Two separate servers looked at us as... More

The drinks were very good. My wife said the petite filet was one of the best she ever had. I had the Pecan Encrusted Trout. Although, it was okay, I wouldn't order it again. Just wasn't a fan. The server initially lost our order, and it took about 40 minutes to get served. Really wasn't a problem, as we were... More

Had dinner here with family. All dishes were adequate and decent. The trout is your best option. All else is not spectacular, but will suffice for a meal on the mountain if you don't feel like driving all the way down to Banner Elk.

We dined here with a group of friends and enjoyed the music on the lawn and later went inside for wings and wine! A nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
