We enjoyed lunch at one of the patio tables on a Thursday afternoon. There were 8 guests in our party, including 4 adults and 4 kids. They offered us 3 menus, which was a little confusing as each offered something different. It all sounded good, but it was kind of awkward. The server and manager did a great job of... More

Had breakfast there and it was just OK. Hash browns were the obviously frozen variety and lacked any seasoning . Sausage patties were very small and had been on the grill too long. They were very hard and dry. The biscuit appeared to be homemade, large and fluffy. Our server was prompt and friendly. We may return for a second... More

Beautiful day for a casual lunch outside. Service was spotty but food was good as usual. Salads, burgers, and fantastic desserts. The place to go in banner elk for casual outdoor dining.

After a day doing outdoor activities, stopped by for lunch, after all, had a high rating. Sat for 15 min before we had a waitress. Garlic rolls were hard like dog biscuits. My wife had bad wrap with old lettuce and cold dry chicken. I had meatball sandwich which fell apart in poor imitation of a roll. Lunch took 45... More

My husband and I are spending a few days in Banner Elk. We decided to have dinner at Banner Elk Cafe last night. When we walked in there was a short line, but no one was available to seat the customers. Finally a waiter seated us at a booth. There were windows next to the booth that had a significant... More

Stopped at Banner Elk Café several times now when visiting the area. The food is always great, and the service is usually top notch. Can be busy at night, lunchtime is a little more laid back. Our last time in we had a large group, and everyone ordered different meals. No one was disappointed. Most had to get carry out... More

My friends and I went for breakfast on a Saturday and were pleased with the variety of items. Two of us had the Eggs Benedict, and it looked great when it came to the table. However, it must have been left in the kitchen for awhile after it was prepared, as the hash browns and eggs were barely warm. Also,... More

We had a good lunch, crab cake sandwich and chicken wrap. The number of menus is odd, but the food was all very good. The sweet potato fries were great.

While we were eating outside, a storm came thru and they had a plan to move all guests inside quickly and in perfect timing. The food was perfectly cooked and we were highly impressed on how all the staff worked together. There were about 10 dogs on the patio area with their families and the servers made sure each dog... After leaving the Bayou Smokehouse due to horrible service and not being waited on at all, my mom and I walked down the street and found this cafe. We were helped immediately. Our server was very friendly. I ordered the blackened chicken quesadilla and my mom got the turkey special. Both were very good, especially for the price! We shared... More
