Puerto Nuevo is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Everything we have ever eaten there is delicious. We usually get the Fajitas for Two. It is more food than my husband and I can eat, and that says a lot since both of us are big eaters! They have recently added a salsa bar so you can get various kinds of salsa.... More

We have been to Puerto Nuevo, both locations, several times and the menu is extensive and reasonably priced especially if you have a 10% Off coupon offered on the Lowes Food Store receipt. It is not valid on Friday or Saturday and does have an expiration date which is difficult to read with black lettering on a dark blue background.... More

We live here and have loved this place since it opened. Tonight we took out of town family and were embarrassed. Five of the eight of us had terrible meals, two with 1/4 inch steak which was burned on both sides, had ordered med-rare. One with a tostada which was completely soggy and looked awful! One with cold yucky filling... More

Perhaps it was because it was the July 4th Holiday weekend and it was busy, but our experience didn't match up in any way to what we expected from reviews. Our party of three was sat straight away, which was good. Larger family parties were waiting outside for a big table to become available. We were in the larger part... More

For being a Mexican restaurant in the mountains of nc. I had the chile rellano enchilada combo and wife had taquitos. As good as "city fare mex" in most cases. Prices very cheap, lots of food. Great deal all things considered.

This restaurant seems to be always busy and a wait time. Have been there twice and each time I walk away thinking that it's average yet expensive.

When I was planning my trip I read the reviews for this restaurant. You did not disappoint. Puerto Nuevo is a must stop if you are anywhere within fifty miles. The server made a recommendation and it was spot on. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. And the prices are not only reasonable they are actually... More

Our service wasn't that great but that seemed to be the exception. Had the chicken enchiladas and they were very good. Chips and bean dip were good too. Also had the guacamole dip which was excellent. Hopefully you have better service, I would go back.
