11: 30 am on 8/4/2021, With the open sign ON, we entered the Eat Crow to be acknowledged with a NASTY comment from a elderly lady that ‘WE ARE CLOSED.” Her attitude was simply uncalled for. She will eating crow herself because she will not...have a restaurant!More

The place looked like a hole in the wall, but the food looked great. Patrons were jam packed like sardines in a tin can. When I walked in, the older woman running the joint asked me, “What do want?” It was a very strange greeting....No welcome. No hellos. When I asked to be put on the restaurant waiting list, she said, “Come back in 20 minutes.” So, I did. Upon returning I was told, “We ran out of food, so we’re closing.” I said, “Well your food must be good.” Really? You ran out of all food? All the food is gone? C’mon now! The woman then sneered and rolled her eyes at me. Nothing leaves a bad taste like unprofessionalism and rudeness. I heard another waitress say they were closing because they were short staffed. Bottom line, I couldn’t eat at Eat Crow so I flew the coup. It was a “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” kind of experience. Looks like it’s time for the staff at Eat Crow to “eat some crow.”More

Charming atmosphere and wonderful sandwiches. We ordered two to go and couldn’t even make it home before breaking in to our carry out bag. We returned the following weekend to try two different menu items and were equally impressed. They’ve got a good thing going....Leave room for dessert!More

SOOO disappointed. We own a second home here and I make a concerted effort to support and promote local businesses. Reviews and menu look good-but I can never find it open! Tried again today for the third time, and there is a sign on the...door saying they are closed, despite their website saying they are open today 11-3 and outdoor seating only. Given that this has happened twice before, I should have called, but this time I relied on their website as opposed to Trip Advisor. (Which also says they are open). It appears that they need to do a much better job maintaining and updating their website. It was my mom’s 74th b-day and we are both only eating outdoors, so I thought this would be a nice treat for her and I was hoping that the third time would be the charm! Would love to be able to review the food and service, but can’t do that if they aren’t open!More

Stopped in to get some soups to go. The soup of day was a bean and kale and I got a frozen green chili corn chowder. Both were delicious and chock full of veggies. Super flavorful! Also got a slice of chocolate cream pie which...was yummy. There were many pies to chose from which made it difficult. They are doing takeaway only, no dine in, but well worth it to get some delicious food to go.More

This hidden gem is located on 105 S which is outside Banner Elk. It's actually between Boone and Banner Elk. It's located in a small business building. At this time, they are practicing good social distancing and all food is take out. You can order...just inside the door, and they will bring it out to you in a bag/sack. You can then take it and leave, or there are some cute tables spaced out on the sidewalk where you can take your food and eat it there. The restrooms are currently closed to the public because of Covid (and I'm not even sure if that's legal). Anyway, it is definitely worth a stop here to get some food and dessert, because the Food / Sandwiches / Dessert are just awesome. The taste, quality and selection are just great. We had sandwiches at the cafe, and then took home a couple of frozen options to heat up later. And they were ALL just great. We'll definitely be back, and will probably try a few other things.More

We have eaten in this restaurant many times. Due to Covid-19 they are only doing take out currently. We asked Dominic, the chef, to make us a custom order seafood pie with whole wheat crust and no shrimp. We picked it up yesterday and baked...it today. We just ate it for dinner. It was absolutely delicious! Basically, chicken pot pie but with super fresh seafood. We loved it!. They also have great soups, sandwiches and killer desserts. Their frozen entrees for take home are excellent! It is a must eat there place!More

Excellent soups and sandwiches. Deserts are to die for and make sure you order holiday pies a couple weeks in advance as they book up quickly. Try the coconut cream WOW!

While out and about today we seen Eat Crow and decided to give it a go. We all love sandwiches so the menu looked great with awesome cheeses and fresh ingredients. The staff was super friendly and the chef came out to say hello which...I always think is exceptional. I had the Reuben. So good I finished it but once I seen the desserts I wish I would of saved half. All in all a wonderful meal. Must give it a tryMore

Heard from a friend about this place but actually found it by accident! The food in this little place is amazing. The Rueben with homemade Rye bread was the best I’ve ever had. The side of potato salad with apple was delicious. Soups were from...scratch were great! And then desserts, also from scratch. Mmm, too many to describe and also sooo good. Highly recommend them for lunch or early dinner! The owners were lovely as was the rest of the staff! We will be back on our next visit!More
