Went with my friends, then with my children and then with family. It's that good although a bit expensive. I'll begin with the staff. Very friendly and welcoming, The cuisines is very good. I have nothing negative to say about Bella Havana.

Last week I took my son for dinner at this eatery. The taste of the dishes we ordered were less than adequate. The food was definitely not Cuban, it was a poor imitation of it, and too pricey for the value delivered. The service quality...was ok, that’s until we received the check. After reviewing the bill, I gave the waitress my credit card and as usual I inspected the check once again to leave a tip and sign. Much to my surprise she did not include a copy of the original invoice, as it’s customary in every restaurant that I’ve been. Rather, I only received the credit card invoice and was shocked to see that not only they had added a tip but the charge reflected a 50% overcharge! Obviously I complained and would’ve thought it was an honest mistake. However, given that she fail to bring the original invoice AND that they automatically added a tip made me suspicious. Mind you, I’m accustomed to see a tip added by the restaurant but only when serving a group of people not just 2 diners. Watch out for billing “mistakes” if you dine at La Bella Havana”.More
We stopped after a day IN NYC Arrived at about 7:30 PM. I ordered the Ropa Viejo which was ok, flavorful but a little dried out and over-cooked. My friend ordered the stuffed fillet of fish, tasty but also a little over cooked. Service was...friendly but very slow in bringing food out. That appeared to be the pattern for all tables. Maybe it was a bad night-friend 'swears' she never had a bad meal here. Maybe I will re-visit another time but for now just OKMore
I am giving this a 5 for the food. I recommend the paella and the Cuban Sandwich both are excellent Try the Sangria it is very good and they have happy hour discounts.
I always end up eating here and always a great experience. Love the staff and ambiance. Love to bring my family and friends.
We had been to this restaurant prior to the new owners and the food was very tasty and delicious! We recently went and The food was totally tasteless. We ordered steak with onions that had no taste and very, very fatty a cheap cut of...steak. The chicken that my husband ordered was tasteless. It was such a disappointment and will never return or recommend it to anyone.More
Visit this restaurant for dinner and it took a long time for the server to visit our table. When we started to order food everything that we asked for they were out of, even when we try to ask for a bottle of wine they...were did not have it, end it up getting a order of popcorn shrimp and two sandwiches and then our food took almost an hour to reach our table. I will never be eating in this restaurant again.More
I’m so excited to share this little gem located in Yonkers, Ny literally a 4 minutes walk from the metro north train station. The ambiance is wonderful. The background music playing during our dinner was perfect for the name of the restaurant Havana. This was...my choice for my friends and I for our annual Ugly Sweater Party. Boy o boy did I hit the head on the nail so to speak. (Smiles) The food was excellent. Presentation was pretty and intriguing. We all wanted more the day after. Very reasonable and the pitcher of margaritas was a suggestion by the waitress that fit our group. It is a must eat, then repeat!!!!More

It was a rainy day and we were actually headed elsewhere. On the menu, to warm up, we ordered the Dominican chicken soup. A steaming bowl with about a quarter of dark meat, veggies and an amazing broth was served along with lightly seasoned rice....Not spicy, just flavorful. We also had a couple of Cubano sandwiches. Although not on the menu, they were quickly prepared and served with really tasty fries. The wait staff was quick and attentive. If I have a reason to be in Yonkers, I'd go back.More
We're in town visiting my wife's sister who just had a baby. Ask for our usual we go out and find a new restaurant to eat when we travel. My wife being of Dominican descent , someway came across La Bella Havana. We were very...pleased at the time the kitchen closes. The food we had was excellent. Prepared and presented wonderfully. We were pleasantly surprised when the DJ started playing music and the crowd started to file in. We were very happy with the drink selection and the available specialty drinks that was served and we partook quite a bit. But the real fun started when the owner of left the building. It seems like he really hold back his bar staff while he's there. But once he was gone the drinks flowed the staff seemed like they were having a good time the music added to the atmosphere. What a wonderful experience. Staff was very attentive and very friendly. Taking their time to make sure that you have the proper drink at the proper time in a timely manner. But like I said all of this started after the boss left. The thing I like most about La Bella Havana was that there was a good crowd but it never really got too crowded. It was easy to get a drink at almost every part of the evening. What a great experience. We will definitely be back. Just be sure to call ahead and make sure what time the kitchen closes. Do not rely on what it says on the website.More
Went back foe the 2nd time in the last year and again had a terrific meal! Food is delicious! Had a wonderful pork dish, a delicious watermelon salad and also we had a fish special(snapper) with assorted seafood on top. Everything was outstanding. Oh, I...forgot to mention, delicious Sangria that really packed a punch! I will return again soon> Very lively atmosphere and good service to boot.More
We had the grilled shrimp , which was perfectly cooked, and delicious . Also the Caribe Pernilto, a slow cooked pork dish, which was supposed to be for two . It could have fed four . I want to try the sangria next time. They...make it themselves with freshly squeezed oranges.More
I went to this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. Food was great! The only thing is that the restaurant is tiny. Purchased a package in Groupon.
