De Costa's Fine Italian Dining 5/21/2024
Celebrating our 36th Wedding Anniversary we ordered a favorite Fried Calamari as an app. The size of the Squid was cut into nice size pieces and coated very well. The mouth feel was very tender and soft. I ordered the Seafood Pescatore that consisted of Shrimp, Clams, Mussels, and Calamari, in a Tomato Sauce, served on a bed of Fettuccine. The dish was very well made with a Devine taste. My husband ordered a daily Special of Stripped Bass topped with Shrimp, a side of Potato Croquettes and Broccoli Rabe. My husband said he thoroughly enjoyed his food and again it was very well prepared. The wait staff was very professional and attentive. Although this place is a bit pricey, it is more than well worth the price! I would tell anyone to come and give this place a try as you feel welcome and the food is excellent, you won't regret it.

We enjoyed a very good family meal (12 of us) in a semi-private room in the back of DeCosta's. Food and service were excellent. There's even a bit of a nice view from this room. Location is good, but difficult to drive in and out due to a strange intersection.

everything we got was excellent. 4 different dishes with sides and the crab dip appetizer was to die for. will definitely be back there again.

You feel welcome the minute you walk in. The food is amazing and so is the service. The owners and the staff greet you and actually have conversations with you. Very family orientated.

If you drive too fast you’ll go right by Decostas and that will be a mistake.
They do a nice job preparing good Italian food. You can get a good pasta dish, a nice sized portion reasonably priced.
If you like veal, their veal is very tasty.
They have nice lunch specials too.

We live nearby and have been driving past DeCosta’s for years. We finally stopped in with friends for dinner. So glad we did! We all loved the food and the service could not be better. The owner gave special attention to all diners. We look forward to going back and highly recommend!

This was our 1st time here and we were not disappointed. We started off with appetizers wife had a butternut squash soup and I had fried calamari both were quite delish. Our man courses were for my wife chicken Marsala with vegetables and a potato croquet I had linguine with white claim sauce and a side order of broccoli rabe which was done to perfection. Desert we shared tiramisu which also was great . We would highly recommended this place it is right in our neighborhood and it’s good to support local businesses. We will definitely come back place was great.

We have been dining at this restaurant for years and have consistently been treated to not only excellent service but quality food. The house specials are regularly changing and usually reflect in season specials, they have a full bar, as well as a yummy espresso station. Desserts are fresh and always delicious.

Dined here several times and never disappointed. Our orders this time were veal piccata and pork chops. Really delicious. The place is quaint and the staff is very pleasant. Just found out they give a discount to veterans and I think that is wonderful! Lucky enough to live close by but it's definitely worth the drive when necessary.

Friendly bartender excellent service delicious food. Had the mussels in white wine and garlic, they were tender and sweet. Had the Burrata it came with sundried tomatoes, prosciutto and a port wine reduction. Also had the chicken franchise with vegetables and potato croquette. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. Plenty of off street parking.

Hard to say. First time was a charm. Service and food were good. Second time, the waitress approached our table, throw down menus, never introduced herself, etc. Finally, I complained and the owner waited on us. Tried to get into the rest room, but it was occupied for a long time. After about 15 minutes, the door opened and out walked a staff member from the kitchen! He was the one hogging the rest room. Food was not as good as the first visit. Third visit was identical, except for the rest room fiasco. Same rude waitress, etc. and food was poor. Will never go back to Decost'as again!

I'm sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with the service. We train our staff to be polite and courteous.You might have came when a shift change was in progress. About the bathroom problem, i'm sorry you waited but our staff also needs to use the bathroom and I have no control over that. We hope you would consider giving us another chance.

Deciding on where to have dinner we just went with DeCosta’s. It’s a quaint restaurant with a friendly staff. We started with the octopus w/shrimp, and clams casino appetizers which were both delicious. The octopus was tender and flavorful as the shrimp in a delicate sauce. Clams casino were seasoned to perfection not overpowering the clams. The entree’s were just as delicious, the eggplant lasagna and the pork chop alla Nonna. Have to note that the gentleman who took our drink order was very accommodating as he let us try a couple of wines before we decided on one. Good family operated restaurant. We would definitely return!

We wanted a decent meal and my wife remembered DeCosta's from a previous event (bridal shower) so we made the 10-minute trip. Parking is available (though most of it is behind the restaurant and those that require assistance with walking should be dropped off at the door first) and it is easy to get to from major roadways in the area. The main dining area features a small bar and there is window seating (though not an exciting view); there is also another room for special events. The full bar includes all the classes of wine and specialty drinks and the menu is classic Italian with pastas, meats and appetizers.My whole wheat linguine with broccoli rabe and sausages was deliciously drenched in olive oil infused with bits of garlic; my wife's rotini primavera was loaded with seasonal vegetables. And the bread pudding--covered in a tasty sauce of caramel with cinnamon with strawberries and bananas.
This was a great Tuesday evening dinner!

If there's one Italian restaurant in Yonkers this you must go to you must visit Decosta Small family owned restaurant by 2 brothers food extremely fresh and always very good waiters and waitresses always a warm welcome you 5 star service
