It's getting to be our local neighborhood choice! I love walking in and being greeted like a regular. The place was clean as always and the food was just yummy. Pupusas were so tasty. The service was friendly and fast as always and it's a great price.

A very nice restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere. Nothing fancy, with some quaint tables in the window. Decent service, and some great Central American style food. Lots of rice and meat dishes and some great pupusas.

Decent Salvadorean food, pupusas, dba great rice. Nice small comfy place with great low prices. Right under the seven train, so it's not quiet, especially if you have a table right near the front Windies. Quick service, but not such great English.

Went for lunch, ordered the 3 pupusas: chicharron, mixta and queso (very greasy this last one). The other 2 were good. Also ordered the tamal de gallina, which was very good. My friend ordered the tacos de pollo, estilo flauta (fritos) and they were amazing!!! I will go back or stop by if in the area just for the tacos.... More

I discovered pupusas through my neighbor and then started going to this placeabout 15 years ago. if you're looking for traditional salvadorean food, this is the right place. great prices and good home-cooked food, but do not expect anything trendy. just go for a good meal and authenticity.

My wife and I love Salvadoran food. However, this Restaurant we have frequent for several years HAVE DEFINITELY LOWERED their quality starting with the CHEESE, also known as "QUESILLO"! The cheese tasted and seems as if it was COTTAGE cheese, not that mozarrella type pupusas. Not impressed and had to cancel an order to go that's how bad it was.... More

Izalco is a small family owned restaurant located under the 7 train (can get a little noisy). The place itself is outdated with an overload of decorations on the walls. it needs a little bit of love & care. I don't think the food is to die for with the exception of their pupusas and sangria - which have kept... More

Izalco has been one of our favourite restaurants for a while, it's small, cosy, family-run and very authentic. Their ceviche is very good and their pupusas just delicious. and the best part, it's not expensive at all! Definitely one of the best restaurant in woodside
