The atmosphere in this place is very cozy and welcoming and the staff are usually attentive enough. The menu is very small and mostly never changes. I don't recommend any of the meat sandwiches because they tasted a little over-processed, but the vegetable and meat chilis are really great. Perfect for a brisk fall or winter day. They have excellent... More

Neighborhood standby. Be right at home in Chelsea. Decent but pricey hot beverages, some baked goods and daily specials somewhat more substantial.

I used to live in the building on top of this place. At the time, 1991, it was a crappy litttle bodega. Can't remember exactly when, maybe late 1990's, this Cafe was born. What an asset to the neighborhood. Besides the coffee, that have a vast offering of muffins, bagels etc, plus, free newspapers. Sort of a true local place,... More

I went there yesterday intent on having breakfast. I had been there many times until a year ago when I don't know why I stopped. The monotony? Yesterday I arrived around 10 am and it was mostly empty. The waitress was adjusting something so I went to the counter and asked if I could have a bowl of chili with... More

Love this place. Great for breakfast, lunch, tea (and scones!), a quick dessert or a drink (try the sangria!). Seasonal options available - the strawberry lemonade is a sensational summer pick. Close to the train, too.

This is a wonderful neighborhood cafe with tasty breakfast, lunch and light dinner fare. Savory snacks and a glass of wine or sangria, plus a sing-along on Wednesday nights - all are welcome. The staff are friendly and attentive, but not overly. Stop in, you'll be happy you did.

A great neighborhood hangout and coffee place with newspapers to read. Good desserts and nice salads, as well as good variety of coffee. It's a really cute place.

I travel to NY frequently & love visiting this restaurant with my grandkids. The kids love their soup, salads & desserts. I love everything on the menu. A really nice place in the neighborhood for lighter meals or great pastries. Very small, so sometimes you have to wait for a table at lunch. Service is always excellent. We are never... More
