I have been coming here since I was a baby with my parents. The food is old school Italian, no frills, no fuss. It's definitely a neighborhood gem. Nothing has changed in the 30+ years I have eaten there and I hope things never change!

Traditional no frills Italian restaurant serving good solid food. Take a step back in time and enjoy this "historic" place.

The owner is a grumpy guy, sort of like the soup nazi Italian style. There's a waitress with brown short curly hair, see if you can get a table in her section because she is attentive and kind of friendly. The pizza reminds me of the way pizza tasted where I grew up in NYC. Deeelish! There's a full bar... More

My wife and I have been going here for years and are never disappointed! I almost always order the chicken scarparo and it's always excellent. I strongly advise ordering a salad for the table. The decor is old but that's part of its charm. Prices are inexpensive. Cash only.

Stick to pizza and the specials. Great giant calzone! It gets crowded, and the staff are super touchy about anyone coming to your table after you're seated, for some reason. They're very territorial about their tables and chairs, even when it's empty. So pretend you're in a scary foreign country, but enjoy the great food! Seriously, damn good eats. Only... More

My friends and I are amateur but avid foodies and this is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Over the last 2 or 3 years my wo9rk colleagues and I have sampled many of local Italian places - but only for lunch. We don't care about décor, just the food, and La Manda's is one of those places... Food not bad,but Manager, the son of the owner,is so obnoxious, I will no longer go there. Try to patronize restaurant where they value their customers.

Dirty, old, greasy…BAD We have been fans of La Manda’s for a long time but we went with the kids this past weekend and maybe it was because it was light out and we were able to see better but the place was filthy. The floors were greasy, the tables dirty, the silverware crusty. We ordered and then I took... More

Cash only, Formica table tops, and the best chicken scarpa anywhere!! The scungil salad is perfect and generous in size, great bread and if you're lucky the owners father will be there to great you . I've eaten there for forty years and it's been a family restaurant since the seventies. No reservations so if you go on a weekend... More
