The proprietors of Gaucho Burger Company clearly take pride in their food. The steak sandwich is our favorite and the juices. Everything we've had has been very good. We live about 20 minutes away and are now regulars.
My wife and I went for lunch today and it's just fantastic, quality food. I had the chicken chimichurri sandwich (which I've had several times over the past few years when they'd been selling at the WP farmers' market) and it was delicious. The chicken...is moist, but it's all the flavors that stand out. The chicken of course, but the chimichurri and the veggies, even the bread they use, combine into something truly great. My wife, a longtime vegetarian, had the veggie burger - homemade and declared the best veggie burger she'd ever had. The owner listed to us the veggies that he cooks individually to perfection before combining them into the patty. Portions are generous and we each took half home for tomorrow. The flavored lemonades are something you don't see too often and really tasty. We had passion fruit and blackberry. I think of this place as the perfect in between, by which I mean it's far, far beyond fast food, but you're not going to pay a ton to get a lot of really good food in a short amount of time, especially if you're going for lunch like we did and ordering sandwiches. I'm guessing the dinner entrees are made with equally high quality products. In the end I just wanted to write a review for what I think is a great addition to downtown WP. I've had 3 or 4 different things from them between the farmers' market and the restaurant - the burgers, chicken and pork sandwiches have all been worth every penny.More
My wife and I really enjoyed our visit for Lunch on this restaurant. Everything was so delicious. Foods was so fresh and tastes like was done with very good ingredients. In addition, Moises, the owner was so kind and provide great service. Looking forward to...comeback to try more from the menu.More
The food here is top notch. Everything is fresh, the meat is prime quality, and the care and passion that goes into the food is unparalleled. I wold much rather get a burger here than at Shake Shack or any other slider chain. They flame...broil a decent size burger marinated in chimi churi served on a nice brioche bun with a really nice spicy mayonnaise. Right now you can get their signature burger for only $5.99. Its a steal! Special mention- plantains, garlic fries and Argentinian steak sandwich!More
We were told on our last visit to come back with a bottle of wine. We walked by the restaurant on a separate occasion and confirmed with the owner that it is B.Y.O.B.. We returned with a bottle of wine. They placed a corkscrew on...the counter and my wife returned to our table with it and opened the wine. When we received our bill there was a $10 charge on it for opening the wine. There is no mention of a cork fee anywhere. The owner apologized and admitted that he had forgotten to tell us about the fee. He did not remove the fee and we will no longer spend our money at this establishment. It was dishonest!More
“Crazy Moses”, as the head chef and owner self-identifies, is a force. Energetic and passionate about his food, I hope he succeeds. His place is new and his menu hits and misses, but there are a few items worth a trip for. The burger is...delicious - big and spicy, best with some char, on a tasty puffy brioche bun with coleslaw and a single onion ring (brilliant concept because one onion ring is all one ever needs) and optional cheddar cheese. The fries, tossed in his light garlic but tasty version of chimichurri sauce (also on the burger) were very tasty. The yucca fries were also good. The over-sweet lemonade and generic Caesar salad were misses. But give Moses a shot. He has some great ideas and I suspect he will succeed.More
