Really enjoyed our meal at Emma's. Great service, food, and ambiance. We absolutely loved the beet salad and our friend had the swordfish special of the day and raved about it. The place really filled up by the time we left, so I am glad we were able to get in and out.

Seven of us went to Emma's to celebrate a friend's birthday. They had daily specials and the daily menu. Good selection of appetizers, salads, burgers and entrees. We shared one dessert with a lit candle for our celebrant. Tax, tip for 7 people averaged $25 each.

Nice little pub with good comfort food and friendly service. Had a business lunch for two hours and then stayed after with a colleague for about 45 mins and wasn't once rushed or push out. Even as lunch crowd emptied out, server was extremely pleasant and patient ("stay as long as you like") and just stopped by once and a... More

If you're a tourist to the NYC metro area you're not likely to be in White Plains, nor in the primarily residential neighborhood, but if you're looking for casual unpretentious good food with a really good selection of draft beers this is you're place. From the pretzel bread sticks served with mustard to the servers knowing who order which meal... More

Well I don't live very far from Emma's and yet whenever I go I'm never impressed. When crowded you cannot hear yourself think. The beer is fine and the food just ok. There is nothing special about any aspect of the place except the convenience and the prices. Actually if you can get a seat the best place in the... More

I don't understand Tavern's, particularly ones with "Ale House" in their name, where it takes 20 minutes+ for your table to have their drink order taken. Do they not understand that they could be making money serving several rounds of adult beverages to a group of 8 friends having dinner? That being said, their BLT special was very good. Nachos... Was in Westchester for the weekend and wanted a guys night out. A friend suggested this spot so we all agreed to meet up. Had a couple of beers at the bar then got a table for dinner. Service was fine, not intrusive nor standoffish, rather just enough to order refills. Had the onion rings as an appetizer, tiny portion but... More

Super friendly staff at any time of day! The food is great - from the Thai Chili sauce on the fried Calamari (crunchy - not rubbery); great nachos; chicken "lollipops; and love, love the "pretzels" (HOT from the oven) with the mustard sauce. Great burgers and ribs! Great prices - and there is a bowl of water for doggies outside.... More

Haven't been here in awhile - why do I never remember to take pictures? - Emma's Ale House in White Plains. As I said, I got my four top, got my extra napkin, got my ice for my Bombay Gimlet and I was a happy camper. So they brought two stocky soft pretzel logs with a side of mustard to... More
