I have eaten at this restaurant before and the food is pizzeria cuisine served with a staff of waiters on white linen cloth formal setting in a cozy room. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and does a large take out business.

The service and food were 5 star. Angelo and his son's treat you like family every time you eat there, can't say enough about the respect and service they provide . They go out of there way to make your visit special. Would highly recommend...to anyone looking for real good Italian food and to be treated special.More

Went there the other evening with a group of friends after a recommendation. We found our waiter to be very brash but that was not the worse of it. The food was the worse I have ever had in an Italian restaurant. Salads tasted old...and you had the selection of just vinegarette nothing else. Portions are small-I had chicken Meditteranean that was supposed to have chicken, peppers and eggplant, and mozzarella. Well the chicken was rubbery, hardly saw the peppers-can't believe they were sliced so fine, dont remember tasting eggplant, and the mozzarella a couple of slices no bigger than a silver dollar pancake. The sauce was terrible. Another friend had chicken cacciatore-never will have that again-another a veal chop that was to come with prosciutto -she said it was good but tiny. I have yet to be in an Italian restaurant where there is no garlic bread. We had little tiny rolls on the table which were good but rather have had garlic bread. Maybe an off night-but a definite will not go back. By the way, another waitress came to finish and she was a lot better than the first. I would recommend another place for sure.More

Many people love trying new restaurants all the time. They go where it's trendy, they go where they could be seen, they dress to impress so other people can be noticed and it goes on & on. Yes you can do that here but people...come here with none of those intentions. You come here to eat GOOD TASTING ITALIAN FOOD that's well made with fresh ingredients that you can actually taste. Remarkable right? What a nice concept. You're not paying for fancy smancy decorated plates but down to earth homey yummy cooked foods like the good ole days. Mangia mangia like how Nonna made it and how much you remember those days. Quality is what is stressed here from the appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, pastas and even the Specials which you see all the time. Now if you desire pizzas and heroes, who doesn't right? They got you covered. So whether you lean towards finer preparations of entrees, casual dining or takeout...the food here will draw you back. Family business for many years back to the days of the Father and now to his talented sons. Much prop should be given to the love and passion this RISTORANTE has proven. Plenty of parking outside, no need for fancy valet. Just come in, eat & be very happy! Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables from time to time!More

We had dinner here this past Sunday . So what did I have ? Of course the Sunday gravy - cavitelli stuffed with ricotta along with braciole , sausage and meatball like when I was a kid . Very enjoyable it was , and it...followed an appetizer of a dozen baked clams which were really good . My wife got one of the pasta dishes which was multigrain pasta , shrimp , spinach , cannelloni beans in a nice garlic and tomato sauce . Very tasty as well . We shared a cannolo for dessert with my usual espresso . Perfect way to end a great meal . Would definitely recommendMore

My mother-in-law turned 90 this month. She realistically only has a few (at best) birthdays left. This year she wanted to celebrate her special day at Venere Ristorante. We were a group of ten, and none of us were disappointed. The food and service were...excellent. The price was great, and the evening was spectacular. Momma Gloria has been around for 90 years and she knows a few things about restaurants and service. If she picked this place for her 90th celebration you can take it to the bank that you'll love it too. Mangia! Bon appetite!!More

Went to Venere Ristorante for dinner recently and had a great dinner. We enjoyed the appetizer special of cappellini cakes and crispy fried calamari. The linguini with clam sauce was delicious with plenty of tender whole clams. We also enjoyed the veal chop and the...special of Chilean sea bass. Desserts were delicious as well. Our waitress was absolutely perfect, attentive service without being obtrusive. Made us feel like longtime and valued customers. The prices were very reasonable. Will most definitely return many times.More

Went in for lunch special with 8 ladies, said we couldn't get special because it's for 7 or less at a table, we explained we are having our Hicksville Homemakers Luncheon there next month with 40 woman and were here to discuss menu and have...lunch, we already had a $350. deposit sent the week before. Mgt. and Owner would not give the lunch special to us so 3 woman left now we were 5 they still insisted because we were originally 8 we could not get specials. We paid full price and told them we were cancelling our luncheon of 40 woman for a mere $8.99 lunch special they lost many customers. The owner came out and insulted us as well. The old owner was a nice guy and gentleman, new guy needs to learn how business works.More
