When you are stuck at cape lodge where else do you go? I guess the captive audience has meant that the prices have got out of control! Don't get me wrong, the food is quality, just think it's completely overpriced for what it is. Go once to see it but I wouldn't go again.

We went with the degustation and wine pairing menu. Let's just start and say the food was of a very high standard. The highlights were the Jerusalem artichoke, beautiful which was paired with a sour beer. But the winner which I am still dreaming about was the chicken broth. We could have had bowls of it. It was perfectly paired... More

The cape lodge restaurant is beautiful by a lake with excellent food. We were very full with a 4 course menu. Food was excellent and generous in portion for main. Service from the Australian waitress was good, the French waiter was professional but he later showed some attitude which wasn't so nice. Overall, highly recommended restaurant in this part of... From start to finish this was amazing. The food was just delicious and the service amazing. This is not a cheap restaurant but it is worth every cent.

The Cape Lodge Restaurant is definitely up there with the world's top restaurants. I did not expect such delicious and beautifully presented dishes from a hotel restaurant. Being from Melbourne, I am quite fussy when it comes to fine dining, and I was blown away by my meals here - both breakfast and dinner. I hope more people who visit... More

We were staying at Cape Lodge, so rather than venture out on a cold and wet winter's night, we dined at the restaurant. The menu is quite small, but diverse enough to satisfy most people, while the quality of the food presented was superb. We can also recommend breakfast there with a choice of a great continental presentation or a... More

We dined here one night during a four night stay at Cape Lodge ... and I can't begin to tell you how wonderful it was! The food is beautifully presented, absolutely delicious and every dish is amazing! The staff are also as good as the food ... they're friendly and happy and it was a joy to have them serve... More

My husband and I recently visited the restaurant during a night at Cape Lodge. The service was excellent and the Four course menu that we chose was exceptional. We could not fault the evening and although we travel a lot we felt we could have been anywhere in the world. We will definitely be going back on our next special... More

Mid week dinner visit with my wife and a perfect setting, service and incredible food. It was worth it for the domestic credit! Highly recommended for a life treat. We will be returning for the Degustation. The little touches in the hor d'ouevres, gift chocolates, side dishes and positive table service tone were appreciated. The food was as perfect as... More
