Had the pleasure of having lunch here to celebrate a milestone birthday. Everything from the welcome to the amazing culinary experience to the wine list was impeccable. The staff are highly experienced and their attention to every detail is second to none. We were delighted to be able to meet the Michelin star chef (David Charrier) briefly before we left... More

This restaurant is located about a mile from St Émilion and can be found at the top of a hill (look for the prominent water tower next to it). An unassuming exterior contrasts with a stunning interior, comprising well spaced tables with large comfortable chairs and a focal point of a large fireplace stretching up to the high ceiling. The... Excellent food, wine list and service. 10 of us descended on Sunday evening for dinner. Although we had to have the set menu, on arrival there was some flexibility to change your mind! I had superb snail ravioli followed by veal. We asked if we could have cheese instead of dessert which was no problem. The wine list was extensive... More

Unbelievable - took my wife there for her birthday. Started with champagne on their terrace before being shown to our table. There were various set menus, the one we chose was a 'blind menu' which was €100 per person and was 7 courses of beauty. The waitress asked us for any allergies or dislikes and the chef came up with... More

We visited Saint-Emilion in mid-October and had the good fortune to make a dinner reservation at the restaurant that is attached to the Chateau de Troplong Mondot. The ambience in the restaurant is very welcoming (I should mention that we were there in the evening and therefore missed out on the stunning views of the vineyards around the chateau at... More

Amazing food and setting for a 1 star. I suspect this not remain the rating for long. We sat in the terrace, the day was beautiful and the service delightful. Food was outstanding...Snails topping with fried fois gras, pork belly, local fish, wine...everything was top shelf. It is not cheap...but worth the price. Highly recommended

The restaurant is quite elegant, and yet simple and honest. The food we had was well deserving of its reputation. Service was impeccable, and nailed down to the tee, by ladies dressed in "outside the norm" server uniforms -- black tops and printed flowery skirts. The setting was beautiful, overlooking the vineyards of Saint-Emilion. Truly an unforgettable experience.

Description
Our chef David Charrier, co-author during four years of the menu of a famous two-star restaurant in Carantec, has found happiness in the vineyard of Troplong Mondot. He creates a gastronomic cuisine that showcases our wines, our "terroir" and his passion. With the products from our henhouse, the orchard and the vegetable garden he lets his creativity surprise and amaze you. Every day, both lunch and dinner are served in our restaurant situated next to the cellar. In these refined and luxurious surroundings, 40 covers are set up around the huge fireplace. As soon as it gets warmer, you can enjoy a privileged gourmet moment on our terrace overlooking the vines and the Dordogne valley.
In 2016 our chef David Charrier obtains his first Michelin star.
