Food and service is great. Lacks some character for a beach restaurant but the food makes up for it. AYCE crabs are great but if you're not crab person you're left sitting and waiting after you finish your meal.

Went on a recent Sunday afternoon for crabs, crab cakes and fried chicken. The restaurant was practically empty. So we get a dozen steamed crabs which were piping hot and excellent. EVERYTHING else - fried chicken, corn on the cob, crabcakes, and French fries were not even warm. The corn was not edible it was so old and dry. The... More

Should have went with my first instinct to get up and leave. Dining room was smelly, soda was flat. They did change the soda and it was ok after. We all got the AYCE crab feast...every single crab was missing legs and they were basically flavorless except for the old bay seasoning. We had crabs at the crab bag the... More

4 of us went for dinner because I wanted steamed crabs. I called first to see if they had "jumbos", and the gentleman who answered the phone told me there were maybe a half dozen. I ordered 3 of them, and it was too much for me to eat. They cost 150 a dozen and were FABULOUS. Shared a great... More

Went with a friend and had the best crab cake. Not a lot of filler and not filled with that Old Bay Seasoning some restaurants use to hide a less than superior product. Preferred their crab cake over the ones at the Crab Cake Factory.

This was a nice place with great service and food. We all had seafood of some type with a baked oyster appetizer and it was excellent. A little pricey but was good quality and probably similar to other restaurants in the area.

Wasn't sure how this place was going to work out but I needed a place with both crabs and ribs so we gave it a shot. SUPER YUMMY AND SO MUCH FOOD. 3/4 of us ordered the Captain's Haul. Waaaay to much food. I ended up taking crabs home for the next day, which I have never done in my... More

Notably the last restaurant on Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island, Delaware before entering Ocean City, Maryland, Delaware may have saved the best for last. The award winning Fenwick Crabhouse has been an icon in the resort for almost 50 years. Though being named a "favorite seafood dive in the US" for an unprecedented fourth straight year by Coastal Living Magazine, the Fenwick Crabhouse is hardly a dive. While the atmosphere is casual, they have an appealing menu of carefully prepared meals catering to a variety of tastes. You will find great wines, craft beers, their hallmark "The Perfect Crab cake" (NY Times), Delaware Magazine's 2011 "Best Ribs," and of course, those wonderful steamed crabs. Their mission is to provide a unique blend of creatively prepared dishes using fresh, locally grown foods and award-winning beverages to the table. The Fenwick Crabhouse is a seasonal restaurant off-season hours change before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Call for hours.
