We have been coming here for years since it is within easy walking distance of our beach house. It was just fair with few choices. Since Pat bought it this Spring, he has increased menu choices through a new attractive expanded menu. Many more on tap brews match a emphasis on keeping the chef on board with support he didn't... Stayed right across the street so we had to try. Decided to get take out crab cakes and cook them at home. They were a little pricey but delicious.

The crabs are excellent. the other fish dishes are very sub par. Wait staff is very nice and accommodating. Mickey's up the road by sea colony is an over all better choice though

We had a party of 13 and we were accommodated very well.....we did arrive very early for dinner however which obviously made a big difference in the service and as well as being able to obtain the only dozen of jumbo crabs that were available that evening. The rest of the party enjoyed the extra large variety. Out of all... More

The building is a bit dated, which makes the atmosphere just right. The food was abundant and well prepared. There was a variety of seafood dishes, each with a unique taste. The staff was friendly and casual.

We've dined at the Fenwick Crabhouse three times this year following the change in ownership. We had heard things had improved and were delighted to find this restaurant had restored it's service and quality under new management. The menu has changed some, still lot's of crabs and crab based dishes, but they've added many combo options that include ribs and... More

We have eaten at Fenwick Crab House for 10 years. They made several changes to the menu this year -- many that didn't make us happy. The fried seafood combo had clams instead of scallops included. The blackened scallops only had 3 scallops on the plate. previously, there were always 4. There was shell in the cream of crab soup....not... More

We decided to go here for a family dinner on our last night of vacation. We got the all you can eat crab. It was our first time eating crab like this and our waitress was very helpful. She explained how to crack them open and checked on us several times to make sure we were alright. The fried chicken... More

We set out on foot to find dinner. We knew we wanted seafood but didn't want anything fancy or too pricey...this place was exactly what we were looking for! There was no wait for 7 of us on a Friday night. The hostess and wait staff were super friendly and attentive. The adults in our party had zero complaints. The... More

Our lunch was excellent. We arrived in OC and wanted crab cake sandwiches for lunch. Wait staff good. It was a little chilly in restaurant. We head that it is often cold, so bring a sweater.

Description
Notably the last restaurant on Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island, Delaware before entering Ocean City, Maryland, Delaware may have saved the best for last. The award winning Fenwick Crabhouse has been an icon in the resort for almost 50 years. Though being named a "favorite seafood dive in the US" for an unprecedented fourth straight year by Coastal Living Magazine, the Fenwick Crabhouse is hardly a dive. While the atmosphere is casual, they have an appealing menu of carefully prepared meals catering to a variety of tastes. You will find great wines, craft beers, their hallmark "The Perfect Crab cake" (NY Times), Delaware Magazine's 2011 "Best Ribs," and of course, those wonderful steamed crabs. Their mission is to provide a unique blend of creatively prepared dishes using fresh, locally grown foods and award-winning beverages to the table. The Fenwick Crabhouse is a seasonal restaurant off-season hours change before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Call for hours.
