We both had the cheese wheel. Extortionate price for pasta and parmigiana cheese but we wanted to try it. It was nothing special. The meatballs were really good though. The wine was OK. Due to reviews I've read before I expected more from this place....The service was OK but compared to other places we've been it was average. One of the waiters was quite chatty and had a bit of a laugh with us which was nice. We felt a bit like they wanted rid of us after they called a taxi before we finished our drinks. I would advise to go Italy in the World instead for a more authentic Italian experience.More

Came across this place while we were looking for a different restaurant. So glad we did, both food and service were outstanding. Its off the beaten path just a short distance from the shopping plaza and roundabout. Walking distance from the Marriott hotels. Pasta is...handmade from scratch in the restaurant. Everything was fresh and very flavorful. Highly recommend! I had the Pappardelle Primavera and my husband had Veal Parmesan.More

This was our first restaurant experience in Aruba, and we were very impressed. The restaurant was clean, and the service was exceptional. The staff accommodated our group of 11 without any issues. The food was amazing, and the ambiance was perfect. For our first stop,...we were very blessed to be at this wonderful restaurant. We will return when we come back to Aruba.More

My very favorite restaurant in Aruba. Their sangria, both red and white are delicious. I visit 4 times in two weeks and always order their cheese wheel dinner, just can’t resist this dish. We will be returning in a week and looking forward to my...favorite restaurant and meal.More

Sole Mare is the best and authentic Italian restaurant in Aruba. The original pasta cooked in a wheel of Parmesan was outstanding. I mean you have to try this. The branzino also excellent cooked in white wine. Service was friendly and helpful with menu. Classic...Italian and a must stop if you visit Aruba.More

Very casual restaurant with authentic Italian food. We had the Spaghetti Formaggio Parmigiano, which is spaghetti that is in a large round of Parmigiano and flamed with whiskey done right at your table. It was fantastic! Bread was also very good.

Great place to dine and food was delish. My husband had the spaghetti that was made in a Parmesan wheel table side. Great presentation. I had the gnocchi burrata that was out of this world. A must try when in Aruba.

We have been visiting Sole Mare for over 25 years! Always our favorite! Never disappointed! Hopefully it will never change. Escargots were delicious and sauce was a 10. Their rigatoni ai quattro formaggi was amazing as usual. Can't wait to go back!

They used to have the best chicken parm I have ever eaten. Not anymore! It was so tough to chew I couldn't finish it. I don't mind that they raised their prices so much but the service and food quality was terrible. I should add...that our server was very nice just not as attentive as she should have been. Oh yeah the cannoli $12.50 was stale! won't be back there for a long time if ever.More

Initially impressions were good, our waitress was not exactly friendly but polite. We ordered lasagna and fettuccine al fredo. My large slice of lasagna was brought to me bubbling hot, and the initial few mouthfuls were delicious but I soon realised it had been microwaved...- and not very well! The centre was actually cold, not even lukewarm but cold. We called the waitress over and she barely apologised and took it away and said she’d replace it. The lady on the next table also ordered lasagna and hers was cold in the centre too. Hers was also sent back. The replacement was half the size with much more sauce and cheese and really wasn’t great. I ended up giving my husband half of it as I just couldn’t eat it. I did mention it to the waitress who asked us how our food was. I told her how disappointed I was. The bill arrived and again, no apology for the quality of the food. I was surprised that the manager didn’t come over, I don’t think they were bothered. When I expressed my disappointment and said that it would have been nice to have been offered a discount they said they could offer 5%, which equated to just over $3. Definitely wouldn’t eat there again. Thought the standard would have been so much higher.More

We went there for two peoples birthdays on 9/15/22. The service was ok. When I saw the meals that they were serving my friends I was embarrassed for the prices that they paid. The portions were so small I would never go back there again....I’ve been going there for years and telling everyone that this is one of the best places to eat but to have to get something to eat before bed because you were served such small portions is crazy. The place was empty for what I remember it to be and we found out why when we got our food. It’s pasta people. It’s not diamond. We have been to several other places since then and I feel I have to let people know to stay away if you are looking for a decent meal. All 9 of us thought the price was not worth what they served. It’s a shame since it was my favorite place. They use to have an early bird special and the portions were smaller but they gave you soup or salad, your meal and coffee and desert for $29. These portions were smaller then what I remember the early bird to be and the price was crazy. We should have left and went some where else.More

Bad, food terrible, and extremely expensive! Don’t go! Appetizer: calamari like rubber bands, pasta with tomato sauce $32 plus hidden fees 18% rip off. Decor: old plastic grapes hanging from the roof. Rundown place! It’s a big NO!
