My family really enjoyed eating at The Silk Route. The Butter Chicken, Karai Beef, and Chicken Tikka Masala all had me changing my vote on with one was my favorite. One of the better Indian meals I have ever eaten. Our waitstaff was great and the manager checked on us several times. I wish we had more time to eat... More

Love this place. As you will find the best indian and chinese food in it. But the main thing missing is Chicken Sweet corn Soup.. please add it. And price is some how good but not in budget.

I like to drink a glass of wine or beer while I eat. In Zanzibar, this is not easy but here you can. This is already a positive note for this restaurant, probably the best at Stonetown. The food is also very good. If you are around here, please try and you will enjoy it

The restaurant has been relocated nearer from the sea. Now the interior design is less crowded, but the food remains the same. The good quality of the food combined with a quick service will make your meal a tasty Indian experience. The menu is quite complete with all kind of food (vegetarian, seafood, meat). You may ask for the spice... More

The pretentious glamour of the restaurant works well to override the average food quality and taste. If you are going for the food, you can find better. If you are going for the view, enjoy! Don't call for desserts, they need to add life in those!

Wow the food was exquisitely good in here! I think one of the best meals I had during the Zanzibar trip! All those spices and ingredients! The service was great with a nice view of the sea. One resto you should try when in Stone Town!

I came here about a year ago and it has been revamped in the meantime with new decor and new menu. It is still a great dining experience, albeit a bit pricey. The kids loved the sweet lassi and we all found it difficult to choose from the wide ranging choice. Very friendly staff and generous portions.

I would advise to choose carefully - and ask the waiting staff if you're at all unsure of what you're ordering. They understood about the need for a nut free meal. Some of us didn't choose well but for those that did, they enjoyed their meal, especially the naans, beautifully cooked. The curries were good. The negatives were for my... More

It was already a few times I came in this restaurant and even though the food was fair, I did not like the general atmosphere. My friends and I gave our order. The manager replied "no don't take this dish, it is not good". First surprising and bad impression... The service is slow and no one really take care of you.... More
