We wanted to drop into Freddy Mercury's restaurant and did so on our second last day in Zanzibar. We had amazing fish tacos (ordered a second helping) and a wonderful drink (Freddy Mercury's Baba or something like that). Service was a bit lackadaisical but very pleasant. We enjoyed it enough that we went back for a last lunch the next... More

in comparison to other restaurants and bars it is rather expensive. Service is sort of OK but far from good. Music aint my style - but even if you love Freddy Merrcury the loudspeakers still are terrible.

Really love the style and the atmosphere it brings. Order a burger with a Kilimanjaro! Enjoyed the food and the live music, popular songs that made everyone dance.

Always something to see while waiting for your food. An extensive menu, meat, fish and veg. The squid and calamari is delicious. The Freddy Mercury favorite salad is modest compared to man it is named after. Good coffee.

You'll pay an 18% extra in the end. Misleading communication because the staff doesn't tell you about it, you're supposed to read the very first page of the menu to find it out and everyone obviously skips that page to go straight to the actual menu.

Bad food and service at lunch, but good food and service in the evening. Not too bad on price for area.

The first time we went was on a Friday night around sunset. We sat by the beach with a fun soccer game going on. My stomach was struggling so I got the french onion soup and hubs got the stir-fry seafood. Both very tasty. We then moved to the bar area and watched the Olympics. Music was nice (not enough... The seafood platter we ordered was overcooked and the French fries were stale. It took forever for waitstaff to come around even though only 4 tables were filled. Don't bother, there are better restaurants in Stone Town

The restaurant is located right on the beach next to the port which is an amazing view over the ocean and all of the ships coming to the port and leaving. A great ocean adventure I would say. The menu is well overpriced, seems as if they are using the famous name to attract tourist that would pay anything. Also,... More

Their prices are extremely high for Zanzibar. The food is terrible. Staff is not friendly. It is a total tourist trap. I would never ever go there again
