Great food, good service, nice price

We heard about the Happy Rajah on Trip advisor, and it lived up to the hype. The service was friendly and informative & the dishes were served really quickly. We spontaniously visited this restaurant after been running around in the "Super U" warehouse nearby. And we're not disapointed , everything tasted very good ! We didn't eat the really spicy food , but we enjoyed it any way ! Friendly service , not expensive at all. We recommend Happy Rajah !

Rajah has many recommedations so we decided to check their lunch. Tikka Masala had lots of flavour but not spicy, Tandoori chicken was bit dry. Very polite service but naan bread did not meet our expectations.

After learning that in the evening you must take the lifts in the left entrance and not the stairs in the right entrance in Grand Bay, we were warmly greeted in an air conditioned environment and enjoyed a good selection of vegetable curries and Indian breads. At 6:30 on a Tuesday, it took 1/2 hour from ordering to serving with... More

Excellent and authentic Indian cuisine - delicious Naan bread and curries. We had Dinner twice, one evening outside on the terrace with a nice breeze. We recommend to book a table ahead as it seems very busy regularly. One has to know though it is overlooking the Super U parking - we did not mind as everything was great. Should... More

Location not so nice, views onto parking lot. However: cozy interior, freshly cooked, tasty food at very reasonable prices for the area.

We were looking for some where to have lunch that cratered to gluten free, with out much success. When the man outside was handing out leaflets for this Indian Restaurant. After he reassured us that they would be able to help us, we decided to go in. I'm so glad we did, the best Indian meal ever. The waiter was... More

We've been to the Happy Rajah both in Grand Baie and in Phoenix and both restaurants are excellent. The restaurant, and this says a lot for Mauritius, is extremely clean and very nicely decorated. Everything we have ordered there has been nicely prepared and very flavorful. With main courses running around $8-10 it is very reasonably priced as well. Highly... More
