The food was delicious. I wish I ordered the chefs special beef brisket. Our waiter Dakota was awesome. We sat upstairs and it had a beautiful view and a cozy environment. If you are in the area, it is a must to for dinner.

It must be more than 20 years since our last visit to the Grist Mill. We had a couple of OK meals and it was too far for an OK meal. We heard it's been pretty good lately so we gave it a try. What a great surprise! It was a beautiful night so we ate outside on a patio... More

Staying in the Lake George Village area and looking to get away from the touristic downtown area for an amazing meal? Only a 10-min drive from the village, this is the perfect place to visit. With a romantic atmosphere and warm ambiance, The Grist Mill is located in the same building where a river mill once existed in the 1800s.... More

This is a marvel of a restaurant in the Adirondacks. The downstairs bar makes you feel like you belong here, the views along the river ignite the creative in you, and the food is consistently terrific. My faves are the venison, filet and the salad caprese. Wines are ok but you can pay a corkage fee and bring your own... More

We have been going to this restaurant through its many incarnations under new owners. Sadly this incarnation does not live up to the restaurant's previously well deserved reputation. We have been their twice under the latest owner. The menu is too narrow, the dishes unimaginative, seasonings too timid and saucing needs greater punch. This remains a lovely venue, especially the... We had actually heard mixed reviews, depending on the night one visited. We were impressed with the service and food. If the weather was more cooperative, we would have tried sitting outside.

After spending the day at the busy Saratoga Race Track, we retreated to the beautiful little town of Warrensburg, and dined on the historic Grist Mill's downstairs deck to the sounds of the pretty Schroon River. Magical! Their tradition of good food continues under new ownership - we shared the mussels to start and they were both fresh and sublime,... More

It's a great restaurant and the atmosphere is out of this world. Try to get seats on the enclosed porch. The food was fantastic. It's expensive but worth a trip.

I had all but given up on the Lake George area as being a wasteland for good quality food, service and ambiance. I was wrong. To get a good experience, totally bypass the village and anything within a couple of miles of the village. Go to The Grist Mill. Beautiful venue in a converted old mill located on the tranquil... Two couples went to dinner. Drinks first in the downstairs bar and our table was ready early. The apps took a little while to come out but were delicious. The view was great. The signature berry martini was excellent. The entrees were delicious but the lamb chops were cold while everything else was piping hot. The waitress was very gracious... More
