I can't believe it took me this long to finally eat here, I've been hearing about it for years! The atmosphere is lovely, the food was outstanding and so was our server. Kudos to the chef, it's been a very long time since I've had a meal this wonderful. The presentation is not overly done like many of the overrated... More

The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was elegant and rustic at the same time. The restaurant is housed in an old grist mill with the mechanical workings in evidence as well as the log walls. But the table was set as if in a 5-star restaurant with snowy white tablecloths and elegant flatware and stemware. We sat at a... More

A new outside deck, a great couples night on .thursdays in the off season and the same friendly ,experienced staff make this wonderful ,historic stop a great dining experiance. Venison, steak and the caeser salad is still my favorites. Downstairs bar is a real nice place to be in the winter with a huge fireplace.

Hi Robert, Thank you for the lovely review! The Grist Mill really is a historic landmark, rich with original artifacts and a spectacular view, it's so nice to hear others appreciate all that too. We did not have high expectations but were very pleasantly surprised by this charming, interesting location with superb food and ambience. Our dinners were generously sized, prepared to perfection, interesting/successful combinations of flavors, served by a delightful staff with a keen interest in keeping us happy with all aspects of the experience. Bar downstairs looked like a fun setting for... More

We chose to sit downstairs in the tavern at the Grist Mill. Blazing fire going among original artifacts of a real grist mill. Your choice of tavern menu or fine dining menu. Their Winter menu is quite limited but there is something for everyone prepared quite elegantly. Ambiance is out of sight. Puts you right back 100 years ago but... More

Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere!! This historic building reminds one of a by-gone era. Cocktails and meals can be ordered in the main dining room or in the downstairs tavern.

On a recent visit to the area to purchase a home, several people told us The Grist Mill was their favorite restaurant. Based on those statements, how could we NOT try it? Being a Saturday night, we expected the place to be busy, so we made a reservation for four and hoped the wait wouldn't be too long. As the... More

Traveling through this area, we searched Trip Advisor for a great restaurant and found The Grist Mill. We were seated next to the wall of windows overlooking the small river. Our waiter, Dakota, was both pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We would definitely return if ever in the area again.
