Hu Yanmei has come from her family's restaurant in Harbin, in North China, with dumplings, noodles and other dishes that are genuine reflections of Dongbei-style cuisine. "Chef Jenny" uses only the finest ingredients, employs time-honored techniques and refuses to serve anything but honest dishes that are faithful to Dongbei, the region of China that Americans often call Manchuria. if you are a Dumpling fiend as i am, then here is the place for you to visit and have a great lunch , snack in between the day or dinner, here they make fresh home made Dumpling from scratch, from rolling out the dumpling shell to seasoning all the different types of dumplings they make and they have a nice variety of different Dumplings,, they also have a really good noodle soups, , , when you eta the first dumpling you can tell instantly they are not any premade or frozen types.. there sevice is very good and friendly . i highly recommend palace dumpling ,

I moved up to the area from Long Island, having grown up in New York City. Though I love it up here, I was concerned about the absence of quality Asian food anywhere in the area, certainly nothing like where I've come from. My biggest loss, I feared, were dumplings. When I shared this concern on Facebook, two friends came to the rescue. One recommended a place an hour north of me that makes soup dumplings, a particular guilty pleasure I thought was lost to me. The other recommended one an hour south of me, Palace Dumplings.
Today I drove over an hour each way to find out. It was worth every minute and more. They don't have soup dumplings, and maybe in reading this they will add them. And no, they don't have a broad array of Chinese foods, as one unfair reviewer pointed out, but they don't claim to. This is a dumpling house, and the best I've ever experienced. The first bite, of a pork and three seafood one, was heaven. Their dumplings are high quality, authentic and creative. They don't fill one up, but they do satisfy the palate. I don't know how often I'll be wanting to drive two hours, but when the craving hits, there's nowhere else I'd go.

They need more help! I imagine they are trying to hire but not finding reliable help. The dumplings were outstanding and we'd have liked more of them, but each plate took at least 1/2 hour to come to the table. Takeout seemed to be advantageous over tableside service, at least until they find more workers. The gentleman working at the counter was doing everything - seating people, serving, cleaning. Gotta give him credit for trying as hard as possible to keep everyone served. Prices are good too.

We really enjoyed the zucchini and egg dumplings, the lamb and squash dumplings, and the chicken and mushroom dumplings. The salads were also superb. Will be visiting Palace Dumplings on a regular basis in the years to come.

It's been a very long time since we've eaten at Palace Dumplings and the updates to the dining area are very nice, modern, clean. Booths and tables are available. Parties of 5 or more would be challenged to find a seat altogether.
We had 3 kinds of dumplings: lamb w/ onion, beef w/ watercress and pork w/scallion. We preferred the texture of steamed dumplings over the fried bc of the thin dumpling skin on these housemate delights. All the dumplings were juicy, simple but well flavored. The onion in the lamb over powered the lamb flavor but it was still very tasty. DON'T EAT THEM when they first get to your table...let them cool a bit!
The cabbage meatball soup had a delicious savory broth and came with about 6 mini meatballs in it, plenty of shredded Napa and a small amount of noodles.
We also ordered the ketchup low mein. The noodles had a great texture. The sauce was sweet and sour, like our server had explained. It was cooked well but just not our favorite.
Beverages are bottled, not fountain like the menu states.
It's hard to tell if it's seat yourself or wait to be seated. We were confused and saw several walk ins confused too.
Server didn't check on us until we flagged them down to add something to our order. They were very nice, didn't seem annoyed when asked questions and got our orders in accurately. They never returned with the check, we went to the register when we were ready to go.
Discount for paying cash, 3.99% credit card convenience fee...this is annoying but loads of places are doing it.

Dumplings were good, but we had to wait way over an hour for them.
The small staff worked hard, but they prioritized a HUGE banquet take-out order that must have been phoned in right before we got there, making all the in-person diners wait forever while they fulfilled that one order.
One by one the sit-down diners got up, paid for the appetizers and left, once they realized that "Just five more minutes" wasn't true, and really meant an indeterminately long wait time time.
I would suggest they either:
1. Put the focus on people that are actually on premises.
2. Be honest and tell them how long the wait really is, or
3. Tell people phoning giant orders that they need more lead time.

No, you will not get first class service or ambiance or a wide variety of food. What you will get is truly delicious dumplings. But, don't discount their other offerings because the cucumber salad with horseradish is absolutely amazing and their fried rice is exceptionally good.

If you enjoy dumplings, look no further. I have never seen such a variety. My young grandson likes the chicken with chives dumplings. There are also a few other food items to order like Chicken Lo Mein. The place is not too big and fills up quickly. Service is fast. My only criticism is that wine is only sold by the bottle- would have preferred a glass with dinner

I've been going to this place since they opened in 2011, food and service only got better and better, 😋, there. Dumplings are all hand made and home made right there as you make your order., I can honestly say now it has become a hidden Jem. 😍

This hole in the wall restaurant is worth the trip. We have driven forty minutes several times to eat to go. This time my wife and I dined in. The food was just as excellent and the service comes quickly. We had two appetizers and two entrees and were out in forty minutes. Not rushed at all. Will 100% return. DELICIOUS

Stopped for lunch, not many customers.
Steamed, 12 per order .
Not so great.
Probably won’t be back.

Amazing dumplings, noodles, vegetable dishes and more, perfect for sharing. Favorites include steamed egg and chive dumplings, fried lamb and onions dumplings, layered cucumbers, noodles with pork and eggplant, and braised beef.
