Needed a birthday cake quick for a co worker so stopped in and was able to get a rum cake. It was delicious. Good, quick and friendly service.

I walked out with two boxes of desserts including almond cookies, cannollis, tiramisu and more. Owner of Caruso Carmela was very friendly and helped me to select wide variety of desserts. The absolute best, fresh pastries. I live an hour and a half a way from Utica and hadn't been to Caruso's in 15 years... what a treat! And it's all good. : )

I always buy my rum cake and cannolli cake from Caruso's they have the best. It's been under the same ownership for 50 years. Pastries are always fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong.

By far the best pastries in Utica. And the biggest and best lobster tails!! They are delicious and filled with so much cream. From the pastries to the cakes and cookies. They are all delicious. I take Caruso's over Florentine, Cafe CaNole and Desserts Beyond the Ordinary any day! Simply the best! Always fresh and always an abundance to choose... More

We visited on a weekday midafternoon & tried a variety of the pastry and espresso. The place was quiet; the counter worker was friendly and helpful. I love macaroons and fell in love w. the chocolate covered offering at Caruso's. Espresso was great as are the cannoli. The lemon cookies taste just like my Grandma's. Never had anything so close... Took an old friend out for an espresso and grabbed a bunch of pastries to go. Caruso's had the feeling of a real Italian bakery. Black and white checkered floor, a couple old men talking about the old days and an unbelievable smell. The espresso was perfect and we grabbed a bunch of mixed pastries to bring to my in-laws.... Stopped for pastry and cappuccino. The waitress was very pleasant. The pastries were so good. Would highly recommend Caruso's if you need pastries or café cookies.

We stumbled upon this bakery after having lunch in the area. Walking in you felt like you entered a page from a 1950's Life Magazine. The selection of hand crafted backed goods and pastries was very good and we proceed in buying two boxes of assorted goodies. Each of them proved be light and tasty; and not too sweet.
