While in Utica to see Riverdance at the Stanley Theater, our group decided to make it an Irish themed night and ended up at the Nail Creek Pub. This was definitely out of the norm for this group of teachers. We were pleasantly surprised at how welcomed we felt upon entering this establishment. We were clearly not the normal patrons... More

So so. Food was cold and not what we expected. Poutine was not authentic. The cheese curd wasn't even melted and was too minimal to qualify as a main component.

This little hide-a-way offers a warm, Inviting ambiance with great beer selections. The menu is limited but offers unique options with a local twist. No matter what you choose it will satisfy your taste buds. If you want a taste of Utica, give this place a try.

Good selection of draught beer. Limited menu, but very good quality. The four of us had different selections, each were very good. I'm glad we stopped there.

So we needed to stop and eat before "the big storm" hit, or be left facing mini mart nuts and crackers. The reviews are great- #7 of 148 for local bar food? Sign me up. So I was a bit surprised that there were 4 menu items I would consider real food - plus a couple of special (a panini,... More

Best beers on draft, AMAZING food. Always local, delicious dishes. I had cream of roasted pepper and coconut soup last week YUM. Deck is always great in the summer, and Sunday brunch is always a must.

Also creative and delicious pub food. You just can't go wrong here. Always a side variety of beers available and not beers you will find on tap anywhere else near by. Food is fantastic and wait staff is the best.

Good selection of craft beer and imaginative menu. Friendly crowd and staff. Glad we stopped in. I had the flatbread of the day, with Parmesan, garlic and a fried egg on top. My companion had the Southern Mistress, a take on the classic Reuben, with smoked chicken, home fermented kraut and thousand island dressing. Both were good and hearty. Side... More

Went out to the museum on a blustery November Saturday. Had heard of this spot from my wife's manager, him being a Utica native. Was not disappointed. A great vibe upon entering with some mellow 70's style light rock on the sound system. The bartender immediately stuck up a conversation, (we're bar, not table) kind of people. A good array... More

Small beer pub tucked away in the Utica brewery district. About a dozen different craft beers on tap, lots of bottled beers, but done are thier own. Pub food is very good, with lots of good choices for matching with your beer of choice. Wait staff was very friendly , nice stop if you are in the nieghborhood.

Description
Hello and welcome to Nail Creek Pub & Brewery. We opened our doors in March of 2008 with the intent of bringing craft beer to the Mohawk Valley. At that time, most people said that the areas citizens didn't want craft beer. They told us that nobody would buy it. Luckily we proved them wrong! Its been a fun ride and only getting better. Although we are mostly known for our large beer selection, we take out food VERY seriously. Our menu has evolved over the years from basic pub food to a perfect mix of comfort and contemporary foods. We decided to go with a smaller menu that we could perfect and keep absolutely fresh. If you haven't had our burger you are in for surprise. We use locally pastured grass fed beef and Utica Bread Brioche to deliver the freshest and highest quality burger possible. Be sure to check out our mussels and frittes available Thursday night through Saturday. The Prince Edward Island Mussels are steamed and served in a white wine, garlic, butter sauce. They are served with grilled bread, frites and two homemade aoili's. On Wednesday nights we offer a gourmet dinner. The weekly dish is always a surprise! Regular Menu also available. Every Sunday we offer Utica's best brunch. Our brunch menu is ever evolving and will always excite and please. Sunday's in Utica are alive and well, and we would be honored to have you spend yours with us.
