I enjoy Minar's and if you get a chance, try a Taj Mahal beer. We are blessed in the Utica area to have so many good international restaurants. Don't be afraid of the chicken, it looks a little different, but tastes like any other chicken. The food is not "overly spiced" unless you have only eaten macaroni and cheese out... More

I stopped in to try the dinner buffet and was early so everything was fresh and hot. The dining room is very clean and welcoming, and I was the first diner so I got a lot of attention. Very good value if you are hungry, including desserts, as there are loads of options, and a great place if you are... More

I been in Utica many times but this was my first time at Raj Minar. We arrived for lunch buffet and we enjoyed food and desserts very much. buffet had good variety of food including vegetarian dishes. I've enjoyed a lot freshly baked nan bread, lamb stew and my favorite mango custard. Price was awesome, service great and it was... More

The portions are huge! nobody in my party finished their dish. The basmati rice that comes with every entry and to share was very under done. The rice was still hard and had not absorb any flavor of the added spices and salt! Pistachio ice cream/ pista kofi lacked any flavor or pistachio and tasted old. Variety of chicken stews... More

What a spread! Beats anything that I have seen in the US. Food was delicious too. Pleasant decor, good music. This is totally worth the money! The butter chicken was authentic, all the vegetable dishes outstanding. Avoid the mango lassi, it is too sweet. But everything else is great!

Happened upon the buffet here on a Wednesday night, and felt lucky for it. It's a nice enough place with traditional decor and music playing in the background. There is plenty of room for many small tables, or a large setting for a group, as there was while we were there. The buffet offered several meat and meatless entree options,... More

Always go for the lunch buffett;.. Food is brought out in small portions, so it is always fresh (normally not a fan of buffet's). Server's are very professional and attentive. Food is always a good variety with some staples. Something always for every taste bud... Little bit of spicy, something for vegan, some fished with a lot of meat. I... More

Best Indian restaurant in the area. Some may say that it's not entirely authentic but with the buffet lunches you can find a couple dozen different options & certainly you'll find something you enjoy. Lots of veggies, great chicken dishes. Chai that doesn't end.

We have eaten here a few times, and really enjoy it. Their paratha and naan are good, vegetable samosas enjoyable, and entrees are delicious. Warning: unless you like your curry really spicy, I would recommend asking for "mild." Although my son got the Shahee Panir "medium," and it was a nice blend of sweet and spicy. I think their kulfi... More

I hadn't been to the Minar in years as we had moved out of state, just returning this week. My husband and I had just finished our Christmas shopping amongst the hord of other shoppers when we noticed it was time for lunch. Driving along the arterial, I suggested we take the next exit to the Minar and was pleasantly... More
